TRSA statement re Josh Cartwright inquiry

Thoroughbred Racing SA (TRSA) can advise that the inquiry into the racing incident which occurred at Morphettville Parks on Saturday 14 January in Race 8 (MAC: Stop Drug Driving Handicap, 1250 metres) will resume on Monday 13 February 2017.

Josh Cartwright pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless riding under AR137(a) for directing SENIOR COUNCIL at an acute angle with the intention of making contact with runners to his outside. He was stood down from all riding activity with immediate effect (as at Saturday 14 January) and stewards adjourned the matter on penalty for further consideration.

The hearing has now been set for Monday 13 February (and Tuesday 14 February if required) to align with the schedule of Josh Cartwright’s lawyer, Mr Wayne Pasterfield.
