TRSA launches weekly radio show dedicated to SA thoroughbred racing

The first entirely SA-focused racing radio show will hit the airwaves this weekend, with Thoroughbred Racing SA launching The Races Edit on 1629 SEN SA.

Starting this Saturday 3 August at 8am on 1629 SEN SA and presented by Ladbrokes, The Races Edit will be hosted by Miles Pfitzner along with guest tipster and form analyst Tom Hackett from Ladbrokes.

Each week the show will cover racing reviews and previews as well as feature interviews from people within the racing community including owners, trainers, breeders, jockeys, vets, stable hands and bloodstock agents.

As well as airing every Saturday morning on 1629 SEN SA, the show will be available in podcast format each week via both TRSA’s and 1629 SEN SA’s websites, making it available to listeners anytime and anywhere.

Thoroughbred Racing SA Chief Operating Officer Nick Redin said The Races Edit marked an important step for the State’s racing industry.

“We are delighted to be able to give the racing industry in South Australia an opportunity through The Races Edit to share their passion with a broader audience,” he said.

“On a national scale, thoroughbred racing has a dedicated free-to-air TV channel through Racing.com, pay TV programs plus regular segments and form guides within newspapers.

“Therefore, a stand-alone, SA-only thoroughbred racing radio show is an exciting innovation and one we’re thrilled to bring to audiences on radio and online.”

The show will provide listeners with up to date information on all things SA racing, covering topical issues, celebrating achievements and giving racing fans a platform to share their passion.

“We are very proud of our industry and want to use this platform as a way to celebrate our participants, both equine and human, share racing industry news and provide a platform for conversations,” Mr Redin said.

“We look forward to reaching out to the South Australian audience and are absolutely delighted to be working with 1629 SEN SA.”

Commercial Director Alisha Whelan said 1629 SEN SA was proud to continue delivering more relevant, local content made in Adelaide for South Australians.

“1629 SEN SA launched in December and delivers thousands of hours of local content across all sports to sporting fans in Adelaide,” she said.

“South Australians are passionate racing fans, and this partnership with Thoroughbred Racing SA will deliver new, exciting content so that racing fans can enjoy local insights and information like never before.
