COVID-19 update | Changes to race-day attendance and procedures

Following the State Government’s recent move to re-introduce/announce certain COVID-19-related restrictions in South Australia, the following decisions have been taken by TRSA management, effective immediately:

  1. Re-introduction of temperature testing of all essential personnel at race meetings and trials.
  2. Complete separation is required between essential industry/racing personnel and the general public. There is to be no cross over or common areas.
  3. Continue with the practice of essential raceday personnel wearing a wrist band of a certain colour, issued at the time of temperature testing, plus creating a list of essential raceday personnel (i.e. trainers nominating in advance which staff members will be working for them on race day).
  4. Re-introduction of a moratorium on registered owners being considered for a stable employee’s licence/registration.

We are continuing to allow horses to be transported to South Australia from Victoria, provided the transport company is in possession of a valid permit issued by the Cross Border Unit of SA Police in SA. This will be monitored and if any changes are determined necessary further advice will be distributed.

Industry participants will be required to have their industry ID cards to access the course.
