Lincoln Moore's Gawler preview

BEST BET: SHE’S STYLISH (Race 2)

EACH-WAY: CALL ME SHAMUS (Race 4)

VALUE: LA VITA (Race 7)

RACE 1 - 1:16PM Thank You Veterans Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

EN FRANCAIS is a filly from handy mare Detox on debut and has jumped out impressively. She looks to have some talent and is sure to be right in the finish. She has been well supported in early markets and might be too smart for these on debut. VANCOUVER VELVET has raced against some handy types, including Deep Speed and Quietly Discreet last campaign, and strips fitter for one run back from a spell. He looks well placed here. STARSONGARI is taking on the older horses, draws a good gate and come out of some handy races for a maiden like this. He comes out of two very good races and wears blinkers form an inside gate. WITNESS GREATNESS is another 2YO who has been in the market in all runs and must be respected in a race like this. CAPTAIN BRIDGES was runner-up behind Jonquest at Strathalbyn last time. JUSTEDEE has been around the mark in similar races before a break and has trialled well for his first run back.

SELECTIONS: EN FRANCAIS, Vancouver Velvet, Witness Greatness

RACE 2 - 1:51PM RAAF Edinburgh Orion Aircraft Maiden Plate (1500 METRES)

SHE’S STYLISH looks perfectly placed here. She was runner-up behind Point Blaze here last time and her previous effort behind Virtue at Morphettville has merit. She draws to put herself right in the picture and is the top pick. CELTIC VALOUR did his best work late when resuming and should appreciate getting out in trip. He draws a nice gate and looks a danger. Likewise SUPERB TIME has been racing well and has placed at three of four starts for John Macmillan. He was OK behind Grafton Avenue at Oakbank last time. CARRY THE MUSKET made good ground from a long way back here on his home track last start behind Point Blaze and must be respected. TRISTDAL showed some ability last campaign, while ANDAI STEPPES was scratched from Wednesday for this but looks a horse who will need it further.

SELECTIONS: SHE’S STYLISH, Celtic Valour, Carry The Musket

RACE 3 - 2:26PM Sir Richard Williams - Australia's First Military Pilot BM 64 Handicap (Heat 14 Autumn Series) (1500 METRES)

MORTY has plenty of ability and takes on the older horses here. He was good behind Royal Mile two starts back and that form is very good for a race like this. TUBBY TWO TRACKS won the Cup here in October and will find this much easier than her two runs back from a spell. She was first-up in the Manihi and was solid behind Magna Bella in the city last time and that form has stacked up in better races. BOLT I AM has talent and draws perfectly here. The 1500m is a slight query but he has a good turn of foot and draws a nice gate. SCOUT’S HONOUR finished off well behind the in-form Echo Boomer last time, while WINTER HARBOUR was too good for Ultimate View resuming and is on his home track.

SELECTIONS: MORTY, Tubby Two Tracks, Bolt I Am

RACE 4 - 3:01PM RSL Gallipoli - Gallipoli Memorial Trophy Benchmark 58 Handicap (Heat 11 Provincial Super Series) (1700 METRES)

CALL ME SHAMUS settled towards the rear and made ground last start, but did defeat Echo Boomer earlier this campaign which is very good form for this. He draws out but has the claim for the in-form Jacob Opperman. DOES IT ran well behind Mavette when resuming and maps well from barrier four. MR POCKET was a winner over 2121m here back in November. He draws out but has ability and must be respected. COMFORT GIRL is an improving type who won well at Oakbank and should appreciate getting out in trip to the 1700m. PERSIAN EMPIRE maps well from barrier five and has Todd Pannell.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME SHAMUS, Does It, Comfort Girl

RACE 5 - 3:36PM 86SQN Ivor Hatcher Class One Handicap (1100 METRES)

SENSATIONAL REWARD won well at Echuca before an OK effort at Sandown when beaten 4.7 lengths. He is sure to take some beating in this class. SPIN THE REWARD was a Morphettville winner two starts back and comes out of a good form race behind River Twain. He looks a big danger to the favourite. AQUAMOSS was impressive when dominating on speed at Port Augusta last start. This is harder but he must be given some thought. SANBUCK had market support last time and was very good behind Lunar Hero at Morphettville. A repeat effort would put him right in the finish here. KISHSTAR ran well first-up and has placed at four of five starts.

SELECTIONS: SENSATIONAL REWARD, Spin The Reward, Sanbuck

RACE 6 - 4:11PM RAAF Aircraft Kittyhawk Benchmark 54 Handicap (1200 METRES)

Wide open race. CENTRE SCOOTA has been placed at two of three runs here and looks well suited on his KI win four runs back. NEEDA is on the quick back-up after running well behind Chill With Teejay at Murray Bridge on Wednesday and looks over the odds. TURF TAPPER was OK when resuming behind Rizski at Oakbank and was then OK again at Naracoorte but draws a wide gate. ZUME FORWARD draws to get a good run on the inside and was OK here behind Arctic Blaze last time. PAM’S JOURNEY comes off a Port Augusta win last time and should get an OK run. YOU ES MARHSALL was a Morphettville Parks winner two runs back while BULLET KID comes off a Penola win and draws to get a gun run.

SELECTIONS: CENTRE SCOOTA, Needa, Turf Tapper

RACE 7 - 4:47PM Coopers Brewery - RAAF Centenary Benchmark 68 Handicap (Heat 13 SA Sprint Series) (1100 METRES)

SECRET WAR is shooting for three wins straight and looks the one to beat on his home track. He was impressive leading throughout to beat New Roman last time and will take beating despite a sticky wide gate. BRAZEN BRANDO was in the market first-up behind Lunar Hero at Morphettville which is a strong pointer for a race like this. DAMASCUS MOMENT stuck on gamely behind Lady Dunmore at Morphettville last time. She draws wide but must be respected and has won here previously. EXTRA MILE has a good record here and was OK behind Gougers at Morphettville before a break. LA VITA is a very handy horse when fresh and come off a good effort behind Galcrum at Morphettville. ROHLON DRUNK draws off the track but is more than capable. REWARDING LAUGHTER is first-up for Jeff Searle and has trialled nicely. MYSTICANO has a good record here on his home track.

SELECTIONS: SECRET WAR, Brazen Brando, La Vita
