SA horses head to Flemington

South Australian 1400m specialist Left Hand Man will chase some Victorian riches at Flemington on Saturday.

The Jon O’Connor-trained Left Hand Man is marked a $10 chance with tab.com.au in a seven-furlong benchmark 78 event. Four of the gelding's six wins have been over the 1400m journey.

In Melbourne, O’Connor also has Great Leveller, who won two straight in SA before running down the track at Sandown last time.

Another interesting SA runner in Melbourne will be Master Chum, who caught the eye first-up from a spell, while Dexter You Devil also tackles the same 2000m race.

The former finished third behind Groundswell in the Listed City Of Adelaide Stakes (1400m) before only being beaten 3.9 lengths behind Lord Vladivostok in the Group 3 R A Lee Stakes (1600m).

The Rob Wilkinson-trained six-year-old looks primed for a good performance over the suitable journey.
