RACE 1 - 12:15PM Strath Small Engines Three-Years-Old Maiden Plate (1100 METRES)
The scratching of Mutinous has left MISS LANGTRY a short priced favourite. She’s going to be hard to beat on her home track from a good gate. EQUA is the obvious danger after having support on debut. He’s been to the trials twice since but well spaced and the stable has a good record so pay to keep a close eye the market. I don’t think there is a lot between the pair. TATEYAMA draws nicely here and showed some improvement last outing. VENDETTA is the one to firm up from double figure odds in opening markets.

RACE 2 - 12:50PM Hygain Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)
The David Jolly stable can win the first couple here on their home track with UTAH JOE who was good first-up from a break behind stablemate She’s A Toff. Fitter here, perfectly drawn and the clear top pick. LIME SPIDER has been around the mark and ran well behind Ghetto before only a fair effort at Mildura last time. JOURNEY TO RIO has been specked at a price in early markets ahead of its debut for Shayne Cahill. CHEH CHEH CHARLEE is the only one given any chance in the market.

RACE 3 - 1:25PM Fleurieu Milk Fillies & Mares Benchmark 62 Handicap (1200 METRES)
Pretty keen on HONEY GO LIGHTLY who won a Morphettville maiden last campaign and should be ready to fire after three runs back from a spell. She was OK behind The Publikin here last start. JUSTA JILLAROO looks a danger on the back of her Bordertown win when she sat behind the speed. She likes to roll forward and the 1200m might be a worry. PRETTY GLASS is right in the market here. She's drawn nicely and is helped with the claim. CIRCUS DANCER is back in class on last time out and was a winner here last time in work. JACJAC JACQUI has been in the money three times from six starts here and draws well while L’IL PIPER defeated Winning Weather, who would be a $1.50 here, at Morphettville back in December and shapes as an improver.

RACE 4 - 2:00PM Goolwa Central Meats Maiden Plate (1600 METRES)
Looked a good race for Funckia who is now out. This leaves FREDDY THE EAGLE as the clear top pick. He is progressive and ran home well behind Tanaka Son at Gawler last time. The extra trip is a bonus for him. LADY ADELE has been placed at four of eight starts, including at Penola last time out, looks some value in WICKED WEEKEND who has placed at five of 13 starts and has the help of the claim. RUGER ROSE ran well first-up run in SA running 3rd behind Ghetto and JUSTEDEE isn’t the worst now she gains a run.

RACE 5 - 2:35PM Chooks Little Tours Benchmark 54 Handicap (1350 METRES)
I like GRAFTON AVENUE as a horse and thought his Oakbank win was very good. He chased home Koruto last time which is OK form for this race and he has solid claims. HILUMIERE loves it here on her home track with has two wins (and 13 placings) from 22 starts, she charged home from a long way back behind Gravity last time and will take some beating. THE HAITIAN POET must be respected on recent efforts, BENOVSKY can be in the mix on a Mildura placings two runs.

RACE 6 - 3:10PM Talking Hair and Beauty Benchmark 54 Handicap (1100 METRES)
Going to need a few scratchings but would be confident about MAJESTIC MISSILE in a race like this a shake. He ran well first-up effort at Balaklava was good and will find this a sharp drop in class after chasing home He’s A Balter at Murray Bridge last start. TURF TAPPER has good each-way appeal after a handy effort behind Tanja’s Dream last start with the winner getting the money in town since. SANBUCK comes out of that same race and his effort four runs back behind Lunar Hero would have him winning this. GENERAL MINT is another who will need some scratchings but has a good record here and had market support last time. DOMINATION looks vulnerable at 1100m even from a good barrier but has had market support, LICORICE BULLET flashed home in the Tanja’s Dream race last time and loves a bottomless track.

RACE 7 - 3:45PM Northpoint Fleurieu Benchmark 56 Handicap (2050 METRES)
Keen on LUTZ who justified his short price to win last time. He’s a progressive staying horse who looks the one they have to beat again from a good barrier and the stable is flying. MULGA LIL is going to be on speed form a good barrier and was strong leading throughout last time, the step up in trip is the concern. A KNIGHT IN PARIS finished off well behind Crypto Currency at Gawler last week, gets out in trip and that form looks OK for this. BEACH GOD ran well behind Plaisir at Balaklava last time and his previous effort Port Adelaide Cup was only fair but right up in class compared to these horses. CLEVER MAN was sent out favourite at Naracoorte two runs back and is worth some thought here. HUMPBACK chased home Lutz last time and must be worth some thought at big price. LUCADONIS was placed at Mildura last start and could measure up.

RACE 8 - 4:20PM Last Race for the Season Rating 0 - 62 Handicap (1600 METRES)
Open race to finish the day CANIDAE comes off a good Bordertown win beating Fallow. He’s poorly drawn but well weighted and his recent form has him in good stead here. SHOTS looks over the odds even thought coming into this off a long break. He’s first-up at a mile and is sure to be fit enough. CAMPOBASSO is another who looks well weighted for this class after the claim and was OK after racing on speed behind Crypto Currency last week at Gawler. FALLOW has been around the mark since coming to SA and should be in the mix in a race like this. IGITUR led here last start when he compounded behind Carbone but has won 5 of 17 here on his home track.
