BEST BET: 6. FREE WILMA (Race 2)

EACH-WAY: 7. CANIDAE (Race 9)

VALUE: 9. LICORICE BULLET (Race 4)

RACE 1 - 11:10AM Lyndoch Motors Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate (1400 METRES)

Looks the right race for GOSDEN who was good first-up from a spell behind the smart Mac ‘N’ Cheese in the Oaklands Plate. He draws a perfect gate, that looks the right formline and he looks the horse to beat. MY KHALIFA was good at Morphettville behind Taunting two starts back and a repeat would be right in the mix here. CASSOWARY was placed at Morphettville on debut and was OK behind Mac ‘N’ Cheese last time in a harder race. ARTFUL FLYER is on debut for Travis Doudle and GRINZINGER HULK was good on debut at Echuca and makes his local debut for Karen Byrnes.

SELECTIONS: 1. GOSDEN, 3. My Khalifa, 6. Cassowary

RACE 2 - 11:45AM Colin Young Memorial Maiden Plate (1050 METRES)

Happy to tip FREE WILMA here.A former Victorian who has been placed at two of her past three and is first-up for the in form Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable. Looks well placed despite a wide gate. David Jolly saddles up HARD RANSOM who has had good early market support. THE TRANCE FACTOR was placed behind Noname Lane at Murray Bridge two starts back and looks the horse over the odds.

SELECTIONS: 6. FREE WILMA, 3. Hard Ransom, 4. The Trance Factor

RACE 3 - 12:20PM Taylors Wines Maiden Plate (1050 METRES)

Good money for the two first starters here. HARLEYMOVEN for the Clarken/McGillivray combination who has jumped out well at Murray Bridge recently. Likewise REDWINELOVER was impressive winning a Morphettville jump-out and wears the blinkers. APACHE STAR is a former Victorian who had good specking first-up in SA when beaten 4.9 lengths behind De Thorn. He draws an inside gate and should go well.  HOWL is on debut for David Jolly and was solid in a Strathalbyn jump-out. REBECCA HORSE is on debut for Ryan Balfour and was runner-up in a trial here.

SELECTIONS: 9. REDWINELOVER, 6. Harleymoven, 1. Apache Star

RACE 4 - 12:55PM Plains Producer Benchmark 54 Handicap (1050 METRES)

FRENCH ROCK races well here and scored first-up for the David Jolly stable here two starts back before chasing home Lombardo in city class last time. He’s been hammered in the betting and is no doubt the one to beat. I can entertain an each-way ticket on LICORICE BULLET who has run well at her past couple, placed behind Chevite at Gawler last time, and does love a heavy track. NIC’S SECRET has been around the mark and can run into the placings again here. HANEDA draws an inside gate and has been placed first-up, RICHED has performed in stronger races previous and must be respected.

SELECTIONS: 1. FRENCH ROCK, 9. Licorice Bullet, 10. Haneda

RACE 5 - 1:30PM Cup Day 15 September Benchmark 54 Handicap (1050 METRES)

SILVER ON RED has stacks of ability and was a good winner over Effortkat at Murray Bridge before a break. He maps to get a good run and he looked pretty forward for a race like this winning a recent Strathalbyn jump-out. AKKACAN has been placed at four of five starts here and was down the track at Werribee last time but his fresh record is sound for this. he should go well. GRAND HOST has a handy record and was placed at three on end before going to Ballarat and leading and disappointing. He draws a good gate. TURF TAPPER has only placed at one of six starts here but was back to his best form winning at Bordertown last time out and should run well. RODNEY can figure.

SELECTIONS: 11. SILVER ON RED, 2. Akkacan, 4. Grand Host

RACE 6 - 2:05PM Adelaide Galvanising Industries Maiden Plate (1400 METRES)

Plenty to like about SICILIAN WITNESS who ran well at his SA debut making ground behind De Thorn and getting to 1400m looks ideal. He draws perfectly and the early money suggests he will be hard to beat. OAMARU POPPY has been placed at all three starts and tried hard behind a talented Scenic Host at Bordertown last time and draws the inside barrier. UNDERSTATEMENT has been placed at three of nine starts and was runner-up behind Another Whine at Naracoorte before a break. DOROTHY ROSE ran well at odds behind Dalakara at Strathalbyn last time. ALL OF HEART is a former Victorian who ran well when placed behind Matas at Gawler at his SA debut back in December 2019. MALINONG CLUB ran well at odds at his debut

SELECTIONS: 7. SICILIAN WITNESS, 11. Oamaru Poppy, 8. Understatement

RACE 7 - 2:40PM Stoller Three-Year-Old Class One Handicap (1300 METRES)

Looks two main winning hopes here. MORTY who is a promising horse.0 He was runner-up behind Royal Mile at Morphettville before running down the track in the Port Adelaide Guineas and then was beaten just over 2 len behind Tubby Two Tracks before a break. He draws a good middle gate and looks well placed. GHETTO is was a Bordertown winner in May and was OK behind Spears when favourite at Murray Bridge last time. She has upside and drawing out there might be an advantage. ST JUST has been OK since coming to SA and looked a winner before being reeled in late behind Whiskey ‘N’ Women at Murray Bridge last time. DISTURBING is a former Victorian who was an Echuca winner back last December and is in the good Travis Doudle stable.

SELECTIONS: 1. MORTY, 9. Ghetto, 12. St Just

RACE 8 - 3:15PM Team Wiss Agronomy Benchmark 54 Handicap (1300 METRES)

Looks a raffle on paper, almost a field job in the quaddie. THE OLYMPIAN is the watch, a former McEvoy horse who could be an improver here on debut for Chris Bieg. POLLYANNA was a Strathalbyn winner back in January but has failed on three starts on heavy going. HARBOURING was placed behind Hilumiere three starts back and can improve on last time. ZOUSTORM draws a good gate, JACJAC JACQUI was good here three starts back, ZIP AKEED is one from one here winning back in December and is worth some thought at odds. DESERT MINTY races well here and has been placed at his only heavy start. MAYBE THIS TIME loves a heavy track.

SELECTIONS: 4. THE OLYMPIAN, 6. Pollyanna, 12. Maybe This Time

RACE 9 - 3:50PM Sharmans Benchmark 56 Handicap (1400 METRES)

CANIDAE was a Bordertown winner four starts back and was very good behind Jaamint two starts back. He had another good win last time behind She’s A Karaka when he made ground from a long way back. He has been runner-up at both runs on a heavy track and looks hard to beat. FORTUNE FOLLOWS is a former local who has been racing well in Victoria. Was a Kyneton winner back in April and wasn’t far away behind Clap at Morphettville last time. Draws a good gate and should be in the finish. SUPER LOOKA was a good Murray Bridge winner two starts back before getting well back behind Whiskey ‘N’ Women there last time. He shapes as an improver. BEEOKAY has been placed at both runs here and could be an improver with a handy record on a heavy track. WYNTER LADY was a Penola winner three starts back and was runner-up behind Whiskey ‘N’ Women at Murray Bridge last time.

SELECTIONS: 7. CANIDAE, 1. Fortune Follows, 9. Super Looka

RACE 10 - 4:25PM Agfert Benchmark 58 Handicap (1600 METRES)

FUNCKIA looks well placed here coming off a good win at Murray Bridge. She’s lightly-raced but looks well placed again here. The wide gate she mean she’s out of trouble. MARINA has been racing well and was placed behind Zoist at Murray Bridge three starts back and beaten less than three lengths behind Hilumiere last time. Stablemate SMART PROMISE was a winner here two starts back and is much better than last time when down the track behind Jaamint. APPLIED is back in trip but was a good winner last time at Murray Bridge and has had that form franked since. He looks over the odds. SPEARS was unluckly first-up in SA before winning at a nice price at Murray Bridge last time. EXALTED FIRE was a winner at Murray Bridge three starts back and should be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: 9. FUNCKIA, 10. Marina, 14. Smart Promise
