It will include a tour of the Racing SA Apprentice Academy and the chance to ride the mechanical horse, a look at the often-unheralded work that goes into preparing horses for race day, and an exclusive look through a working horse racing stable as well as up close look at the Morphettville barriers trials.

“I remember when I first started in racing, I didn’t come from a racing family, so all of the industry terminology was so new to me,’’ Lindop said.

“I didn’t even know what a barrier trial was, and why you need them.

“Showing students through the facilities on offer and sharing my knowledge and passion for thoroughbred racing is something I really enjoy,’’ she said.

The tour will run from 7.30am until approximately 11am on Monday, 24 January and is available to anyone aged 14-25.

Please note that anyone aged 16 and over who would like to attend must be able to show proof of being fully vaccinated.
