STAY AT HOME has shown improvement at all three runs in SA and was good when 2nd behind Magiclane here last start. He draws a good gate, Todd Pannell picks up the ride and he gets his chance. CAMDEN has been placed at 2 of 6 and was runner-up behind Dixie Whistler over 1800m two starts back, he led and weakened up in class last time behind Prince Jofra in a stronger race and can improve here, his soft track form is solid. GULINGI was runner-up at Pakenham last time out and debuts for the Brenton Jones stable.

COVERED CALL has had a few chances placed at 4 of 11 starts and was 3rd behind Peacemaker last time out. He was runner-up his only tart here behind Blue Luna three starts back and gets his chance. MISCHIEVOUS TYCOON has placed at 3 of 10 and was runner-up behind Big Man At Night here last time. GEORGE HERCULES ran well behind Miss Kermie here two runs back and can improve. SILENT KHAN was pecked at odds first-up for the Aaron Bain stable when 6th behind I Need A Drink at Murray Bridge. TORRATORIO was placed behind Magiclane here last time and did have market support from $101 into $41.

RACE 3 - 1:20PM Beachy's Terminus Hotel, Balaklava Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)
Good race. PRETENTIOUS LASS was very good on debut making good ground behind Bubble Over at Morphettville. She draws a nice barrier, can race closer here and gets her chance. CLOSED VAULT was a $3.30 favourite when 7th behind Kova at Murray Bridge on debut. He won a trial leading in and should give this a shake. GLACIER GREY was well backed at his local debut when 4th behind Big Man At Night here. He gets an inside barrier. Stablemate Al RANCHERO was 3rd in the same race first-up in SA but draws wide here. OH NO GEORGE has trialled well ahead of his return and the blinkers go on here. THE SNOW BURNER had trialled well before a good effort first-up from a 20 month break at Bordertown. UNCLE LEO didn’t do a lot in his first two starts but resumes on the back of a handy Morphettville trial. VICTORY TIME had specking on debut in April and won a recent trial here. MIZZ BEEBEEFF has been placed at 3 of 4 the latest behind Hibbity Dibbity at Penola back in January. She’s first-up and draws a nice barrier.

RACE 4 - 1:55PM Coopers Brewery Benchmark 62 Handicap (2200 METRES)
PRINCE JOFRA was impressive on speed scoring an easy Morphettville win at odds last time out. He does jump sharply in trip but if he repeats that here he’s going to be very hard to beat and he loves it wet. The watch will be stablemate SWANKYTOFF who was well backed at a price but didn’t beat a runner home at Murray Bridge on Saturday on the quick back-up here. TRUMPSTA has been racing well and chased home Perfect Illusion two starts back before a good run behind Dixie Whistler. He gets in OK after the claim and looks well placed. I NEED A DRINK bolted in in maiden class over the 2000m trip last time. His first two starts where good and he looks a horse with some upside. HALLAROSTE was a good winner on speed at Murray Bridge two stars back before losing the rider last time. He’s trialled well since and must be respected.

KALAMON has made this track his own with 5 wins from 6 starts here and comes off a slashing run behind Short Stories at Morphettville on the Parks. He’s second-up getting a claim and looks the one to beat. ZIGGI ROCKS had good market support when 3rd behind Muffla at Gawler last week and should run well from a good barrier. MORE SHOTS ran well when 4th behind Photogtenic at here last time. FIAMETTE was a winner here four starts back.

POSSUM BORN has a good record here and trialled well behind Hidden Legend and Arkham Knight ahead of his return. RUSTYDUSTYSUNSHINE was solid running 4th behind Kong at Gawler last week and draws a good barrier. ENLIST has been placed at his two starts here. He has been in the money at 3 of 4 starts when resuming and has claims despite a wide gate. DASKULYA was only just run down last start by HEY MICHAEL, who drifted in betting before winning and then running down the track behind Deevine. CHEVITE finished 4th in the same race but draws wide. MAGIC PHANTOM was a Murray Bridge winner two starts back over 900m and hasn’t won beyond 1200m. KEETTOM was well backed when 2nd behind Comrade Bill at Bordertown last time out.

PRINCE RAFFLES is a handy mare who has always shown ability and has a win and 5 placings from her 13 starts. She ran very well first-up from a spell behind Legless Lady at Murray Bridge in a strong form race and does look hard to beat here, even from the wide gate. UNASSAILABLE led and was only just reeled in behind Shopster at Murray Bridge last time. Her Victorian form is good enough to be right in the mix here. VIVALDI’S QUEST comes off a handy effort in the same race, is a dual winner here and well drawn. SADLER’S SONG comes off a good run here pulling ground off Fox Gem and she should run well. OBELOS comes off a good run behind Kong at Gawler last week and was a Mt Gambier winner three starts back. GOOD APPROACH was a winner here in June beating Lady Simone and comes off a good effort when he just missed at Murray Bridge behind Shopster. PIVOTAL FORCE made ground behind Tupoleu last time and draws a middle gate.1

OBI had a good record in Victoria and was OK first-up in SA when beaten 3.1 len behind Oh Mo. He draws well and should run well. BALCREST BELLE races well here beating Lights Of Broadway here back in May and was good behind Fox Gem here last time. JACKS ON ICE won two of his first three and was OK first-up when 6th behind Knightstown at Morphettville. This is a drop in class and he should go close if the inside is OK late in the day. REGAL ROCKET was good three starts back before winning at Mildura. His latest was only fair behind Madam Furphy. KIKUYU KING resumes here for an in-form stale and was an Oakbank winner three stats back. ZERO INN was OK behind Astro Castro at Murtoa last time when he worked hard.
