Dressage specialist Anne Smith was thrilled with what she witnessed at her recent masterclasses at Lewiston.
Racing SA offered the chance to see Smith, a EA Level 2 Dressage Specialist and Level 1 General Coach who has been competing in dressage for over 20 years including at Grand Prix level, showcase her talents at Lyrical Acres in Lewiston recently.
The courses, which were attended by 50 retired thoroughbred owners and their horses, were designed for those just starting out or looking to go to the next level and saw participants travel from across the state.
Smith describes her way of training as “modern classical” using the German training scale.
"What a privilege it was to work with all of the enthusiastic and dedicated riders who came,’’ Smith said.
“All of the riders totally loved their horses and were keen to soak up as much knowledge and advice as possible.
“I was very impressed with the presentation of all the horses and riders.
“Credit must go to Racing SA for facilitating this incentive,’’ she said.
