How it played last time:
Whilst the majority of winners led or were on pace (6/9), mid-backmarkers also won a third of the card. 6 x winners led/on pace, and 3 winners settled midfield or towards the rear of the field. On pace runners may be advantaged tomorrow, however big fields for most of the day will ensure that backmarkers will also come in to play.
Verdict:
Track currently rated a Soft 6 following 11mm this week. Expect this track to commence in the Soft range, with the possibility of an upgrade to a Soft 5 at some stage, even early on race day if late winter warmer weather and strong winds persist. With the rail out six metres then three metres, look for horses coming from on pace near the fence, out to the middle of the track, later in the day.
