Late yesterday afternoon after a track inspection, Racing SA and the Stewards made the difficult decision to not allow racing on the track. Unfortunately, the driest winter in 70 odd years has left it too dangerous for horses and jockeys to compete.
The good news is, tonight my brave committee decided to still hold the event. While there are quite a few details that we need to confirm, we intend to still have the big screen TV featuring Adelaide and interstate horse racing, bookies and TAB Van in attendance. Fashions on the Field will be a feature, as will the inaugural Sportsbet $4,000 Club Prize Pool.
Food Trucks, BBQs, refreshments, the Kelly Kelly Legal jumping castle for kids will all be there, plus sponsor displays and the RFDS Simulator.
