Gomento (F. Atkinson) – hung out rounding the turn in the vicinity of the 1300m and inconvenienced RIKKI RIKKARDO.

We've Gotta Deel (P. Brewster) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Raced wide from the 900m.

Meika Tate (NZ) (K. Walters) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

She's Tracey (H. Yuen) - a post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg (1/5). Trainer, Mr S. Lenehan was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Totemo Hayai (J. Doyle) – laid out under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Rikki Rikkardo (H. Grace) – in the vicinity of the 1300m was inconvenienced by GOMENTO, which hung out. Near the 200m became disappointed for a run between KEYMAN and MEIKA TATE (NZ), which laid in.

Following the running of this event, riders expressed concerns of an area of the track inside the 1400m in that this section had a lot more give underfoot then the majority of the track. Riders were then advised to inspect the track and express any concerns they have. After considering the concerns of the riders and also acting on their own observations, Stewards agreed that the area of the track inside the 1400m was unsuitable for racing. Stewards directed that all races remaining would only be run over 1300 metres or less and Race 5, a 2000m event be abandoned, in accordance with the Official Alteration – Race Distances Protocol. Stewards then directed, in accordance with Official Race Track Safety/Conditions Policy, that all riders engaged in Races 2 and 3 submit a vote on the suitability of the track for racing given the change in distance of Race 2. The majority of riders voted that the track was safe to continue racing.

The start time of this event was amended to begin at 1:06pm.

Dark Lager (T. Voorham) – in the vicinity of the 200m was disappointed for a run between ELSIE GIRL and TENNESSEE MAGGIE and shifted in to obtain clear ground.

Master Of Ceremony (J. Doyle) – very slow to begin.

Wild Ralph (C. Jones) - a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bi-lateral shin soreness. Trainer, Mr J. Opperman was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Quencher (NZ) (C. Munro) – hampered on jumping away by VALIEVA. At the entrance to the straight became awkward in its action for a short distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg (1/5). Trainer, Mr G. Phillips was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

I've Got That (A. Livesey) - jumped away awkwardly.

Valieva (J. Potter) - jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and hampered QUENCHER (NZ).

The start time of this event was amended to begin at 1:31pm.

Bonanski (C. Tootell) – near the 900m improved onto the heels of FOXY MONSTER and had to be steadied. Near the 100m shifted in and inconvenienced MERCHANT MISS. Rider was reminded of her obligation and advised, in future, to straighten her mounts when they commence to shift ground.

Hasta La Truce (T. Voorham) – stood flat footed as the start was affected and as a result was slow to begin (approximately three lengths).

Emerald Reward (S. Fawke) - jumped away awkwardly.

Foxy Monster (K. Crowther) – jumped away awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Merchant Miss (K. Walters) – in the vicinity of the 100m was obliged to be steadied to avoid the heels of BONANSKI, which shifted in.

Following the running of Race 3, riders inspected the area in the vicinity of the 1100m.

The start of this event was amended to begin at 1:55pm and was delayed approximately seven minutes.

Fugacity (S. Payne) – laid in, in the straight.

Lord Cat (A. Jordsjo) – hampered on jumping away by UTAH JOE.

Thebigsosso (C. Tootell) - jumped away awkwardly. Near the 900m had to be steadied when tightened between JENEFACTOR and RAIN BOY, which rolled in.

Lady Houdini (P. Brewster) – laid in, in the straight.

Utah Joe (S. Logan) - jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and hampered LORD CAT.

Zeydana (E. Finnegan) – Stewards considered a request from Co-Trainer, Mr J. Dodgson that the mare be withdrawn from the event. Stewards acceded to this request and declared ZEYDANA a late scratching at 1:47pm.

Game Cove (S. Fawke) – near the 900m rolled in and tightened the running of PADSTOW POLLY.

Padstow Polly (F. Atkinson) – near the 900m was steadied when tightened by GAME COVE.

Rain Boy (H. Yuen) – near the 900m rolled in and tightened the running of THEBIGSOSSO.

Following the running of this event, riders expressed concerns of an area of the track in the vicinity of the 700m in relation to the underfoot conditions. After considering their concerns, Stewards directed, in accordance with the Official Race Track Safety/Conditions Policy, that all riders with a remaining engagement at the meeting inspect the track prior to submitting a vote on the suitability of the track for racing. After compiling the votes, more than 50% of the riders were of the opinion that the track was not safe to continue racing. As a result, Stewards declared the race meeting postponed at 2.30pm.
