MR JONES (S. Payne) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. Rider was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(i) for using his whip in consecutive strides. Rider reported that the gelding did not respond to his riding as anticipated when placed under pressure, and in his opinion was disappointing. He added that the gelding pulled up in a normal manner.

SEVEN SHOTS (J. Potter) – rider was reminded of his obligations under AR132(b) to ensure he rode his mounts out fully to the end of the race.

HIGH ON SUGAR (J. Toeroek) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course, found to have a small abrasion on its near hind fetlock and was deemed suitable to start. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

The start of this event was delayed two minutes to avoid a clash with an interstate event.

CHUCKAMICKY (S. Fawke) – rounding the home turn shifted in whilst being ridden along resulting in R. Milnes having to ease her mount to avoid the heels of CHUCKAMICKY. Rider was severely reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) and advised in similar circumstances he would be required to stop riding and straighten his mount sooner than he did on this occasion. Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.

GLACIES HEART (T. Hutchinson) – slow to begin, and was then severely hampered when tightened by MY FRANCESS, which had began awkwardly and shifted in. As a result GLACIES HEART lost ground. Near the 200m raced tight between LUVICCI and RELLEUM, which was taken in by CHUCKAMICKY, for a short distance. Approaching the winning post rider was obliged to steady her mount when awkwardly placed near the heels of CHUCKAMICKY, which shifted out under pressure.

MY FRANCESS (C. Murray) – difficult to load. Trainer, Mr D. McLeod, was advised that the mare would now be required to load without delay in either an Official Barrier Trial or Approval to Race Jump-out. Began extremely awkwardly, shifted in and severely hampered GLACIES HEART.

OCHEROUS (NZ) (C. Jones) – slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early stages of the event. Held up for clear running approaching the home turn. Again held up for clear running for a short distance near the 100m.

OUR GLAMOUR GIRL (C. Munro) – held up for clear running from near the 400m until near the 300m. Near the 100m raced in restricted room between GOLDE ‘N’ FIRE and HENRY’S FAITH for a short distance.

RELLEUM (R. Milnes) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. Near the 200m was steadied to avoid the heels of CHUCKAMICKY, which shifted.

TINKLER REPO (A. Jordsjo) – slow to begin.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes.

BRAVE ACTION (S. Payne) – near the 900m shifted in when insufficiently clear of ENDLESS FAITH, resulting in that mare being eased to avoid its heels. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised to ensure he was sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground in future.

EVEN SHARPER (J. Holder) – began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

WORLD AFFAIRS (C. Jones) – rider reported that the gelding did not feel comfortable in its action over the concluding stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ENDLESS FAITH (T. Pannell) – near the 900m eased to avoid the heels of BRAVE ACTION, which shifted in.

WHO'S AFRAID (R. Milnes) – reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Co-trainers, Mr D. Magro and Ms A. Bush, were advised that the mare would now be required to proceed to the start to the satisfaction of Stewards in either an Official Barrier Trial or Approval to Race Jump-out prior to a future race start.

REVOLUTION BELLE (T. Hutchinson) – held up for clear running from near the 400m until near the 300m. Again held up for clear running from near the 200m until near the 100m.

SPLISH SPLASH (J. Toeroek) – slow to begin. Rider could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ESKY (NZ) (C. Tootell) – slow to begin. Rider reported that the gelding was inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.

LINES OF GLORY (A. Jordsjo) – slow to begin.

WEEKEND WARRIOR (Z. Lloyd) – rider reported that the gelding raced keenly in the early and middle stages, and in her opinion this was detrimental to WEEKEND WARRIOR finishing its race off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

DEVINE ASSASSIN (T. Hutchinson) – raced keenly in the early stages. Near the 50m was obliged to ease when awkwardly placed near the heels of ESKY (NZ).

MEDAL QUEST (T. Voorham) – raced keenly in the early stages of the event.

FIANO NOW (NZ) (K. Crowther) – began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early stages of the event, and after passing the winning post on the first occasion laid out and had to be eased when awkwardly placed near the heels of MEDAL QUEST.

RIKKI RIKKARDO (B. Price) – raced keenly in the early stages of the event. Raced wide without cover throughout the event. Rider reported that the filly did not feel comfortable in its action on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SHIFFANY (J. Potter) – raced greenly under pressure in the straight.

TIAMAT (R. Milnes) – laid in under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that the mare did not feel comfortable in its action in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the off fore fetlock (4/5). First aid administered. Co-trainers, Mr J. Dunn and Miss K. Bishop, were advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

NASHO (B. King) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

NICOTERA (S. Fawke) – gave ground quickly over the concluding stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Connections notified that it is their intention to now spell the gelding.

SET ON YOU (J. Toeroek) – reluctant to proceed to the start. Trainer, Mr R. Balfour, was advised that a warning had been placed on the mare.

EXALTED KATE (J. Potter) – trainer, Mr J. Lukey, indicated that it was his intention to now spell the mare.

TINI MOTU (K. Crowther) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

BERKINSON (T. Hutchinson) – hung out under pressure in the straight and proved difficult for its rider to ride out in her normal manner.

CRY CRY BABY (J. Opperman) – slow to begin.

JUSTA JILLAROO (J. Potter) – began awkwardly. Trainer, Mr J. Lukey, explained that he would recommend to connections that the mare now be retired from racing.

SPELMAN (B. Price) – near the 500m, when racing tight to the inside of JUSTA JILLAROO, shifted out and steadied to avoid that mare’s heels. Rider explained that when placed under pressure the gelding responded only fairly to his riding in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

KNICKPOINT (S. Fawke) – began awkwardly. Held up from near the 500m to the 400m.

MUFFLA (J. Toeroek) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

ROAD TO BLUE SKY (NZ) (Z. Lloyd) – over-raced in the early stages of the event.

NAMADJI (C. Murray) – began awkwardly.

FIAMETTE (J. Opperman) – slow to begin. Laid in, in the straight. Rider reported that in his opinion the mare was not suited by the lack of early speed in the race after settling back in the field. He added that the mare worked to the line quite strongly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

BRAZEN EAGLE (C. Munro) – laid out under pressure in the straight. Rider explained that it was not her intention to lead on the mare; however, after beginning well from an inside barrier the mare commenced to race keenly in the early stages and for this reason settled more forward than intended.
