LUDO (NZ) (C. Munro) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had raced in the past seven days and was deemed suitable to start. Laid out under pressure in the straight. Lost its off hind plate during the event.

THEY CALL ME DUSTY (D. Tourneur) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had not raced in the past six months and was deemed suitable to start.

BOULDER GOLD (M. Collett) – raced greenly for most of the event.

LE PROVOCATEUR (J. Eaton) – stood flat-footed at the start, began awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 600m was severely hampered by ILDIKO, which was hampered and taken out by MUNTHAM MISS.

MASKED MARAUDER (J. Opperman) – performed below marked expectations. Rider explained that the gelding failed to travel for most of the event and proved disappointing when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MUNTHAM MISS (S. Payne) – slow to begin. Near the 600m became awkward on the heels of BOULDER GOLD, shifted out and severely hampered ILDIKO and LE PROVOCATEUR.

WANDO SCAMP (T. Voorham) – raced keen in the middle stages of the event.

ILDIKO (D. Caboche) – near the 600m was severely hampered by MUNTHAM MISS, which shifted out when awkward on heels. Rider reported that the filly raced greenly for most of the event.

GOMENTO (A. Jordsjo) – raced wide without cover for most of the event.

HASTA LA AMNESTY (T. Voorham) – raced three wide without cover for most of the event.

HUGHIE'S SPIRIT (S. Metcalfe) – raced keen in the early and middle stages of the event. When questioned in regard to the gelding receiving considerable betting support, trainer, Mr S. Fisher, advised that the connections and the stable did not support the horse. He added that the horse performed well during its last campaign; however, has not continued to do so this campaign. He further stated that after its Warnambool run on the 1 May 2024 he did freshen the horse up; however, it was disappointing at its last start at Stawell on 20 May 2024. He further started that today the horse had a nice ride and performed better than the stable had anticipated.

NEXTONE (P. Brewster) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had raced in the past seven days and was deemed suitable to start.

I'VE GOT THAT (D. Caboche) – slow to begin.

LUVICCI (C. Tootell) – slow to begin.

MEIKA TATE (NZ) (K. Walters) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MONOCHROMATIC (M. Collett) – hung out when placed under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that the mare raced without blinkers today and in her opinion may be better suited with the blinkers back on. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

The start of this event was delayed approximately four minutes.

HI SMOKEY (C. Jones) – after being loaded in the barriers became fractious and got its right front leg caught up in the gate. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice Stewards declared HI SMOKEY a late scratching at 1.58pm. Trainer, Ms S. Murphy, was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.

GRAND HOST (C. Munro) – near the 200m was tightened by UNLIMITED ABILITY, which was taken in by MADDISON MISS, which hung in. As a result, GRAND HOST shifted in slightly and tightened ZEEHAK which lost its running.

NUDGE 'EM ALONG (P. Brewster) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had raced in the past seven days and was deemed suitable to start. Fractious in the barriers. Began awkwardly and lost ground. Rider reported that as a result of the poor start the gelding raced further back than expected. She added that in her opinion the gelding did not back up from its previous start on the 9 June 2024. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MADDISON MISS (C. Tootell) – rider reported that the mare hung in between the 400m and the 200m. Near the 300m hung in and tightened UNLIMITED ABILITY in onto GRAND HOST, which in turn tightened ZEEHAK, which was checked. Stewards were satisfied that C. Tootell made sufficient effort to prevent her horse from shifting in and no further action was taken.

MIKKI BEAN (S. Payne) – proved difficult to load. Trainer, Mr G. Lynch, was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.

UNLIMITED ABILITY (K. Walters) – near the 300m was tightened between GRAND HOST and MADDISON MISS, which was hanging in.

ZEEHAK (M. Collett) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had raced in the past seven days and was deemed suitable to start. After being loaded in the barrier had to be removed from its barrier stall after the horse in an adjoining stall became fractious. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to start. Near the 300m was tightened and checked when GRAND HOST was taken in by UNLIMITED ABILITY, which in turn was tightened by MADDISON MISS.

CARRY ON CAMPING (J. Eaton) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had raced in the past seven days and was found to be lame in the off foreleg (2/5). Acting on this advice Stewards declared CARRY ON CAMPING a late scratching at 1.07pm. Trainer M. Sharp was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

FOUR OUTLAWS (J. Opperman) – began awkwardly, shifted out and hampered SEA OF SECRETS, which in turn shifted out and hampered FAST ‘N’ FORWARD. Near the 250m was bumped and became unbalanced by IMPOSING SUSPECT, which shifted in. Shortly after FOUR OUTLAWS was again bumped by IMPOSING SUSPECT.

IMPOSING SUSPECT (NZ) (J. Hill) – near the 250m shifted in and bumped FOUR OUTLAWS. Shortly after again shifted in and bumped FOUR OUTLAWS. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding and advised in future he would be required to make a greater effort to keep his mounts straight.

SAVABOO (R. Houston) – raced wide without cover in the early stages of the event. Performed below market expectations. Rider explained that the gelding worked hard in the early stages of the event, and when placed under pressure proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

FAST 'N' FORWARD (K. Walters) – hampered at the start by SEA OF SECRETS, which was taken out by FOUR OUTLAWS.

WANNASCHMACK (C. Jones) – raced wide without cover for most of the event.

BUOYANT (IRE) (C. Munro) – raced wide without cover in the early stages and worked forward to sit outside the leader near the 1200m.

SEA OF SECRETS (S. Metcalfe) – hampered at the start by FOUR OUTLAWS and in turn shifted out and hampered FAST ‘N’ FORWARD.

Correct weight for this event was delayed allowing J. Opperman (FOUR OUTLAWS), placed second, to view the vision in the straight. After doing so J. Opperman lodged an objection against IMPOSING SUSPECT (NZ) (J. Hill) being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference in the straight. After considering the evidence, viewing the vision and acting on their own observations Stewards dismissed the protest.

LORD CAT (A. Jordsjo) – hung in rounding the turn near the 900m and proved difficult to ride.

YOURJOKINGME RIGHT (K. Walters) – shifted in near the 950m and tightened PADSTOW POLLY, which was racing keenly. Rider was severely reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) and was advised to exercise more care in future. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have atrial fibrillation (2^nd occurrence). Trainer, Mr W. Walters, was advised that he was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the gelding to be reinstated to race.

GOLDEN AGE (T. Voorham) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

PADSTOW POLLY (C. Munro) – raced keenly in the early stages of the event. Near the 950m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of YOURJOKINME RIGHT, which shifted in. Had difficulty obtaining a clear run between the 200m and the 100m.

MISO (J. Hill) – raced keen in the middle stages of the event. Held up from the 400m until the 250m.

ACTION IN CAIRNS (D. Tourneur) – raced wide without cover for most of the event.

THUNDER PARK (R. Houston) – inconvenienced at the start by LOUD MOUTH (NZ), which shifted out. Held up from the 400m to the 200m.

LOUD MOUTH (NZ) (C. Tootell) – began awkwardly, shifted out and inconvenienced THUNDER PARK.

CRAIGLEA BLIZZARD (K. Walters) – raced keen in the middle stages of the event. Raced wide without cover for most of the event.

SALSBURY HILL (P. Brewster) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had not raced in the past eight months and was deemed suitable to start.

PYTHAGORAS (IRE) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer, Mr A. Purcell, was advised that as this was the gelding’s first bi-lateral bleed PYTHAGORAS (IRE) would now be suspended from racing for a period of three months in accordance with AR79(4) and would be required to gallop 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward prior to accepting for a future trial or race.

WARLIST (J. Hill) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had raced in the past seven days and was deemed suitable to start.

HONOUR THE SKILLS (R. Houston) – raced wide without cover for most of the event.

GETONIT (S. Metcalfe) – raced wide without cover for most of the event.

LUNA DIVA (J. Opperman) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

OUR ELLIE ROSE (NZ) (K. Walters) – raced keen in the middle stages of the event.

LINES OF GLORY (A. Jordsjo) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have been galloped on the near hind leg. First aid applied.
