The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes.

ANTONINUS (A. Lindsay) – raced greenly throughout the event.

BOUNCING BEYOND (T. Johnstone) – slow to begin. Near the 700m appeared to clip the heels of ROUND TWO, which was taken in by DARLINC. Held up for clear running from the 300m until near the 150m.

I LOVERAIN (J. Toeroek) – shortly after jumping away dipped and shifted out bumping PALM OF JUMEIRAH. Shortly after rolled in and bumped DARLINC and as a result lost its position. Rider reported that after being hampered at the start the gelding raced greenly throughout the event and in particular under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

PURFECT LINE (J. Opperman) – on jumping away bumped with BEL HOTESSE. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

ROUND TWO (T. Pannell) – hung out throughout the event, and near the 700m was taken in by DARLINC, which was hanging in, onto BOUNCING BEYOND.

BEL HOTESSE (S. Logan) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted out.

BRIMARVI ROSEMARIE (K. Crowther) – jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and bumped PURFECT LINE.

DARLINC (A. Lai) – shortly after jumping away had its hindquarters turned in by I LOVERAIN, which shifted in. Near the 700m shifted in onto ROUND TWO, which was taken in onto BOUNCING BEYOND, which clipped the heels of ROUND TWO. Rider reported that the saddle shifted back near the 900m and from that point on the filly hung in and was difficult to ride.

PALM OF JUMEIRAH (L. Neindorf) – shortly after jumping away bumped with I LOVERAIN. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

SO GRAND (R. Milnes) – co-trainers, Messrs G. & D. Alexander, reported that on return to the stable the filly had swelling to its near hind hock.

FAST BUBBLES (R. Milnes) – on jumping away bumped with KALBARRI.

GREAT CITY (D. Caboche) – fractious in its barrier after being loaded. Co-trainer, Mr J. Hickmott, was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding in relation to its barrier manners.

GRINT (L. Neindorf) – approaching the 600m shifted in and away from WATCHME WIN, which shifted in abruptly, onto KNIGHT DANCER. Approaching the finish was inconvenienced as MINE ALL MINE, which was hanging in, shifted in. Rider could offer no explanation in relation to the gelding’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

HYPERNOVA (K. Crowther) – inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.

KALBARRI (J. Opperman) – shortly after the start shifted in and bumped FAST BUBBLES.

KNIGHT DANCER (A. Lindsay) – approaching the 600m raced in restricted room between RUSCHEYNE and GRINT, which rolled in.

MERCURY EIGHT (A. Lai) – reluctant to proceed to the start. Trainer, Mr B. Bogarts, was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding. Hung out throughout the event.

MINE ALL MINE (C. Murray) – hung in under pressure in the straight, and near the 200m when being corrected by its rider shifted out and inconvenienced PRODIGAL LAD. Approaching the finish, when hanging in, shifted in and inconvenienced GRINT. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrhythmia (1^st occurrence) and a poor recovery. Trainer, Mr J. Macmillan, was advised that he was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the gelding to be reinstated to race.

PRODIGAL LAD (J. Toeroek) – near the 200m was inconvenienced as MINE ALL MINE shifted out when being corrected.

ROO D'ORO (Z. Lloyd) – slow to begin.

RUSCHEYNE (A. Jordsjo) – approaching the 600m raced in restricted room to the inside of KNIGHT DANCER. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

WATCHME WIN (T. Johnstone) – approaching the 600m shifted in abruptly onto GRINT. Near the 200m rider dropped her near side rein and regathered it shortly after.

The start of this event was delayed approximately one minute.

ABSINTHE (B. Price) – laid in under pressure over the final 100m of the event.

OK GERRY (T. Johnstone) – raced keenly in the early stages. Held up for clear running from rounding the home turn until near the 300m.

SABIE FALLS (K. Crowther) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event. Rider explained that the filly over-raced in the early stages and this was a detriment to its chances. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SHIMSHALAR (A. Lai) – near the 300m rider dropped his off side rein for a number of strides prior to regathering it.

SHINOHARA (H. Yuen) – raced greenly under pressure in the straight.

TAMERICA (J. Potter) – rider reported that the filly was disappointing.

GRAND HOST (C. Munro) – approaching the 300m rolled in and bumped MADDISON MISS.

DAMAGED (J. Opperman) – shortly after the start was inconvenienced when taken in by SOPHINA DIVA onto READ. Laid in under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had bled from both nostrils. Co-trainers, Mr A. Bain and Mr N. Taylor, were advised that as this was the gelding’s first bi-lateral bleed DAMAGED would now be suspended from racing for a period of three months in accordance with AR79(4) and they would be required to have the gelding reinstated in accordance with AR79(4)(b) prior to a future race start. First aid administered.

READ (NZ) (J. Potter) – shortly after the start lost its position when tightened between EXPRESS MASTER (NZ), which was taken out, and DAMAGED, which was taken in. Hung in under pressure in the straight.

MINTULEE (R. Milnes) – shortly after the start shifted out onto EXPRESS MASTER (NZ). Laid in over the final 100m of the event.

BONJOUR DE GAULLE (A. Livesey) – hung out rounding the home turn.

MADDISON MISS (C. Tootell) – approaching the 300m bumped with GRAND HOST, which rolled in.

JIMMYS EDGE (S. Metcalfe) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event.

KUITPO KISS (T. Hutchinson) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had bled from both nostrils. Trainer, Mr A. Clarken, was advised that as this was the mare’s first bi-lateral bleed KUITPO KISS would now be suspended from racing for a period of three months in accordance with AR79(4) and he would be required to have the mare reinstated in accordance with AR79(4)(b) prior to a future race start. First aid administered.

EXPRESS MASTER (NZ) (T. Pannell) – shortly after the start lost its position when tightened onto READ (NZ) by MINTULEE. Difficulty obtaining clear running from the entrance to the straight until inside the 300m and thereafter became held up for clear running for a short distance when awkwardly placed on the heels of KUITPO KISS. From inside the 100m hung in for the remainder of the event.

SOPHINA DIVA (P. Brewster) – shortly after the start shifted in and away from BONJOUR DE GAULLE onto DAMAGED.

GOVERNOR (S. Field) – jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride. Hung out under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that the gelding was disappointing in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

THEY CALL ME ALVIN (B. King) – rider explained that the gelding travelled well during the event; however, when placed under pressure did not respond as she had anticipated and she was slightly disappointed with the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

THE BULL MCCABE (A. Livesey) – rider reported that the gelding hung out throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

CANIDAE (S. Payne) – approaching the finish raced in restricted room between ALLUSION and SIR PANAMA.

FREE VINO (I. Lam) – on jumping away bumped with DEXTER DREAM, which shifted in. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(7)(a)(ii) and was fined $200. In determining penalty Stewards had regard for the totality of the use of the whip by I. Lam and noted that she used it on five occasions over the final 100 metres of the event.

OCEAN BLAST (NZ) (L. Neindorf) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had raced on Saturday, 20 July 2024, and was deemed suitable to start. Inclined to rear on jumping away.

ALLEGEDLY (FR) (J. Potter) – raced wide and without cover in the early stages of the event. Inside the 1000m was permitted to stride forward and take up a position three wide in the lead. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight.

DEXTER DREAM (S. Metcalfe) – jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and bumped FREE VINO.

WANNASCHMACK (C. Murray) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

BLIXTEN (A. Jordsjo) – trainer, Mr G. Lynch, failed to produce the Thoroughbred Identification Card. Mr Lynch was advised the gelding would not be permitted to start in a future race until such time as the TIC was produced.

SIR PANAMA (K. Crowther) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

ALLUSION (R. Milnes) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it had raced on Sunday, 21 July 2024, and was deemed suitable to start.
