Casbourg (D. Caboche) - slow to begin.

Gold Spirit (B. King) – raced keen in the middle stages of the event.

Reciprocal (L. Neindorf) – near the 350m shifted out to improve and then laid in for the remainder of the event. Rider explained that the gelding was slow to begin, slow to muster speed and as a result raced further back than anticipated. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

I Am A Fine Line (R. Milnes) - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as it raced within the last seven days and was deemed suitable to race.

Scandalist (J. Opperman) – held up momentarily passing the 400m.

So Grand (C. Murray) – had to be eased momentarily near the 500m when racing tight to the inside of WILD WINNER.

Wild Winner (J. Holder) – hung in, in the straight and proved difficult to ride. Rider advised Stewards that it would be his recommendation to the stable that the filly’s gear be altered. Trainer, Mr A. Gluyas was advised that a warning had been placed on the filly in relation to its racing manners.

Boltonova (D. Tourneur) – had to be steadied near the 800m to avoid the heels of ALIBIS.

Hooked On Jimmy (I. Lam) – slow to muster speed in the early stages of the event.

Rocktagon (C. Munro) – slow to begin. Had difficulty obtaining clear ground over the later stages of the event when improving onto heels and was not fully tested to the line. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Alibis (C. Murray) – near the 800m shifted in and tightened BOLTONOVA, which had to be steadied. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to take greater care when shifting ground. Hung out when placed under pressure in the straight.

Miss Pantherlot (B. Price) - began very awkwardly, reared and lost considerable ground. Trainer, Mr T. Doudle was advised that a warning had been placed on the mare in relation to its starting manners. Rider reported that he immediately became concerned with the mare shortly after the start and did not place MISS PANTHERLOT under pressure throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg (2/5). Trainer, Mr T. Doudle was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Velvet Gem (A. Lindsay) - laid in when placed under pressure in the straight.

Hypernova (K. Crowther) – was steadied shortly after the start to obtain cover.

The Creed (C. Jones) – bumped at the start by VICARIOUS INTENT.

Cinchona (R. Milnes) – began awkwardly, shifted out and tightened VICARIOUS INTENT. Lost its near fore plate during the event. Rider reported the gelding raced green rounding the home turn, commenced to hang out and then laid in when placed under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Kool 'N' Classy (L. Neindorf) – raced keen in the middle stages of the event. Held up from the 400m until the 200m. When questioned in relation to apparent lack of vigour in the straight, rider explained that his mount, which was having its first race start, was racing greenly, therefore he elected to nurse the mare to the line rather than place it under too much pressure. He added that, in his opinion, KOOL 'N' CLASSY was doing its best and will improve with the experience.

Mon Ami (F. Atkinson) – rider reported the mare raced green and laid in when placed under pressure in straight.

Vicarious Intent (G. Catania) – hampered at the start between THE CREED and CINCHONA, which shifted out.

Fine Future (JPN) (A. Jordsjo) – when questioned in relation to the gelding’s performance, rider explained that she had no cover in the early stages, which may have been detrimental to its chances in today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Bad To The Bone (R. Milnes) – rider reported that she was caught three wide in the middle stages and elected to work forward to sit outside the leader near 800m.

Esticon (B. Price) – raced keen in the middle stages of the event.

Tiny Bay (F. Atkinson) – raced keen in the early and middle stages of the event.

Cholula (D. Caboche) - slow to begin. Near the 750m was bumped by ZOUNORMOUS.

Zounormous (D. Tourneur) – near the 750m when racing tight to the inside of FAST BUBBLES, shifted in and bumped CHOLULA.

Iva Dream (J. Holder) - Change of tactics - attempt to be more forward in the event if possible. Settled in a handy position. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Wild Inference (D. Tourneur) – tightened at the start onto ARCHDEACON by DOUBLE YOU OWE (NZ), which was hampered and taken out. Raced very keen in the early and middle stages and got its head up when being restrained.

Chelsea Cube (J. Opperman) – raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Hung in badly from the 700m and proved difficult to ride. Co-Trainers, Mr G & Mrs N. Searle & Mrs B. Callanan were advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding in relation to its racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Double You Owe (NZ) (J. Holder) – hampered at the start by LONGER ROUTE, which shifted out.

Longer Route (S. Payne) – began awkwardly, shifted out and hampered DOUBLE YOU OWE (NZ).

Artpark (A. Livesey) – rider reported that from the wide gate she was obliged to take hold and settle back, which did not suit the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near hind leg (2/5). Trainer, Mr P. Preusker was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Archdeacon (T. Hutchinson) – bumped shortly after the start by WILD INFERENCE.

Prancing Countess (T. Voorham) – rider reported the mare travelled well for the majority of the event; however, when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding.

Shez Betty (P. Brewster) – began awkwardly.

HASSLEFREE (T. Voorham) – slow to begin.

TUPOLEU (T. Pannell) – trainer, Mr S. Gower, made a submission to Stewards that the gelding be a late scratching due to the track upgrade. Stewards acceded to this request and declared TUPOLEU a late scratching at 2:39pm.

BANGERANG REDBACK (K. Crowther) – hung in under pressure in the straight.

TESTA DEXTA (S. Payne) – rider reported that the gelding did not feel comfortable on today’s firmer track.

ARTERO (F. Atkinson) – shifted in at the start and bumped GRUELLING. Rider reported that the gelding felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

GRUELLING (H. Yuen) – shifted out at the start and bumped ARTERO. Hung in, in the straight proving difficult to ride and near the 300m, and again near the 200m, hampered NOT A SINGLE BID.
