Lock Cup

Sunday, 25th February 2024

11am- 5pm

Lock lies right at the heart of the Eyre Peninsula, 300 km southwest of Port Augusta and 606 km northwest of Adelaide via the Princes and Eyre Highways.

It is a typical Eyre Peninsula wheatbelt town operating as a grain hub and service centre for the surrounding cereal and sheep farmers.

Lock Race Club will be hosting its 58th race meeting on 25th February 2024, at the picturesque McLachlan Park racecourse, 10km north of Lock.

Appropriately named 'The Oakbank of the West Coast', visitors experience a family-friendly, relaxed picnic atmosphere surrounded by stunning green lawns, shady trees and undercover shelter.

Races can be observed from our entirely lawned viewing mound, providing full vision of the racecourse.

Catering to a crowd of all ages, both from local surrounds and visitors from afar, the Lock Cup is a fantastic event for everybody!
