Racing Rewards Alumni Bonus up for grabs

Will Clarken and Niki O’Shea will chase additional Racing Rewards at Morphettville on Saturday when a trio of their stable line-up in a heat of the Festival Sprint Series over the 1200m trip.

The stable has Sweetened, Sixteen Reasons, and Give Some Lip all accepted in the $55,000 race, along with Superior Sam who is ineligible, that will carry an additional $28,500 Racing Rewards Alumni bonus - available to any horse regardless of age - as long as they were Racing Rewards nominated as yearlings.

Sweetened was unplaced in the Listed Hills Railway Stakes at Oakbank last time out while Sixteen Reasons was second behind an impressive Alpine Flyer in the Queen Of The Hills there on the same day.

Give Some Lip is the second emergency in a capacity field in the final race on the card.

The Clarken trio are among six horses eligible for the Alumni Bonus in the final race, two horses – Disagreeable Miss and Yuri Royale – will chase the bonus in the opening race over 2500m while three horses – Holmes, Kingson and Mug’s Game are in the running for the bonus in the third race over the mile.

In addition – the first locally bred horse past the post (Category 1, 2 or 3) in each of the three Alumni races will receive an additional $5000 Breeders Bonus.

There is a Breeders’ Super Bonus on offer that will be paid to the Breeder or Nominator of a Racing Rewards SA nominated horse that wins or places in any of the two and three-year-old Group or Listed races on Auraria Stakes Day.

Owners with a runner on the bumper day of racing – along with a guest - will receive a complimentary drink courtesy of Racing Rewards.
