Bond Street Beau (NZ) (T. Pannell) – rider reported that he settled slightly further back than anticipated and that the gelding was inclined to lay in throughout the event and was one pace when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Brooklyn Boss (NZ) (D. Lane) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

The Art Of Flying (J. Toeroek) - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination upon arrival at the barriers which revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg (2/5) and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice Stewards withdrew THE ART OF FLYING at 12.19pm. Trainer, Mr B. Clarke was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Imposing Suspect (NZ) (C. Williams) - slow to begin.

Enciphering (M. Collett) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Rider reported that the gelding raced keenly in the early and middle stages and did not feel comfortable in its action in front. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg (2/5). Trainer, Ms K. Schulz was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Holmes (B. Shinn) – held up near the 400m until inside the 200m.

Santelmo Fuego (J. Holder) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

Bolted In (J. Opperman) - slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages of the event.

Symphony Of Colour (D. Lane) – inconvenienced when contacted on jumping away. Raced keenly in the middle stages of the event.

Flyer (C. Williams) – slow into stride. Held up from the 400m until approaching the 200m.

The Dabble Effect (D. Stackhouse) – near the 800m shifted in onto MYSTIC WONDER. Rider was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

Diamond Baby (A. Kelly) – shifted in on jumping away and contacted SYMPHONY OF COLOUR. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Mystic Wonder (L. Neindorf) – fractious in the mounting yard and dislodged its rider. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race. L. Neindorf was examined by First Care Medical personnel and was passed fit to fulfil his remaining engagements. Near the 800m was inconvenienced when THE DABBLE EFFECT shifted in and as a result shifted out onto THATS ARCHIES GIRL. Rider reported that the filly only travelled fairly in the early and middle stages, raced greenly throughout, was not comfortable when racing between other runners at the entrance to the straight and upon straightening did not improve as he had hoped. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Royal Majesty (T. Voorham) – near the 400m had to be steadied when awkwardly placed to the inside of SYMPHONY OF COLOUR.

Teardrop Rotation (T. Pannell) – at the entrance to the straight laid in and became awkwardly placed on the heels of THATS ARCHIES GIRL, which shifted out slightly.

Thats Archies Girl (J. Kah) – near the 800m was inconvenienced when taken wider by MYSTIC WONDER. Held up from the 400m until approaching the 200m.

Positivity (NZ) (D. Lane) - slow to begin. Held up from the 600m until near the 400m. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

Gotta Go Guru (J. Holder) – hung in under pressure in the straight.

Buddong (C. Newitt) – restrained at the start from its wide barrier to obtain a position closer to the running rail. Near the 700m improved onto the heels of YOU OUGHTA KNOW, which commenced to give ground and was obliged to be momentarily steadied before shifting out to obtain clear ground.

Harvest Moon (W. Costin) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

Kowhai (NZ) (B. Shinn) – rider explained that the filly did not run out the 2500m of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Spangled Sipper (T. Pannell) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Everlasting Kiss (J. Toeroek) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

You Oughta Know (L. Neindorf) – commenced to give ground from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Fiano Now (NZ) (K. Crowther) – near the 500m was momentarily inconvenienced when YOU OUGHTA KNOW commenced to give ground and shifted in slightly.

The start of this event was delayed approximately four minutes due to a mix up with the saddles of RIVAPORT (FR) and SPLASH BACK (FR).

Seonee (W. Egan) – near the 1800m was taken in by PERFECT ENDING and made contact with the running rail for a number of strides. Held up from near the 500m until approaching the 300m.

Soul Choice (W. Costin) – approaching the 1800m shifted in slightly onto OUR EMPRESS ZOE, which had to be momentarily steadied. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Sea What I See (IRE) (B. Shinn) – near the 1800m was taken in onto PERFECT ENDING by SILENT SURRENTE.

Silent Surrente (J. Kah) – raced keenly in the middle stages of the event. Inside the 1800m shifted in onto SEA WHAT I SEE (IRE). Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to take greater care when shifting ground.

Tycoon Bec (C. Hefel) - jumped away awkwardly.

Splash Back (FR) (T. Pannell) – near the 1400m had to take hold when MISSILE STAR was taken into its running line.

Our Empress Zoe (D. Lane) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. Approaching the 1800m had to be momentarily steadied when SOUL CHOICE shifted in slightly.

Perfect Ending (B. Price) – near the 1800m had to be steadied when taken in onto SEONEE by SEA WHAT I SEE (IRE).

Missile Star (A. Lindsay) – near the 1400m was inconvenienced when taken into the running line of SPLASH BACK (FR) by HEAVEN FORBID (USA).

Heaven Forbid (USA) (B. Mertens) – slow to begin. Near the 1400m shifted in onto MISSILE STAR, which was inconvenienced and taken into the running line of SPLASH BACK (FR), which was forced to take hold. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Saturday, 18 May 2024 and to conclude midnight Sunday, 26 May 2024, a period of four meetings. In determining penalty, Stewards took into account B. Mertens’s record and his guilty plea. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Tropicconi (B. Mertens) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg (2/5). Trainer, Mr M. Laurie was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Tiffany Valentine (K. Crowther) - slow to begin. Rider reported that the mare did not travel in the early stages.
