Soaring Eagle (J. Opperman) – had difficulty obtaining clear ground from near the 500m until inside the 300m when able to ease to outside of MARACOURT. Rider was reminded of his obligations under AR131(a).

SLANE (T. Pannell) – rider explained that the gelding travelled fairly in the early and middle stages; however, was under pressure near the 600m. He added when asked for an effort at the entrance to the straight the gelding only responded for a short distance and was disappointing to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Worsfold (L. Neindorf) – inside the 300m was disappointed when attempting a run between ANNIHILATE and SOARING EAGLE, which shifted out to improve and was obliged to ease and alter course to obtain clear ground.

Annihilate (T. Voorham) – hampered and lost its position on jumping away when tightened between WORSFOLD, which shifted out at the same time as MARACOURT shifted in.

Monseagle (D. Tourneur) - jumped away awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

Absinthe (L. Neindorf) – rider explained that the filly raced greenly and was reluctant when racing between other runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Bonny Impact (A. Livesey) – near the 200m rolled in slightly onto NY KEE.

Caribbean Breeze (E. Finnegan) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

Halliwell (NZ) (J. Eaton) – inside the 800m shifted out slightly onto JURA VAUDOIS. Held up for a short distance at the entrance to the straight.

Hidden Witness (J. Opperman) - slow to begin.

Jura Vaudois (D. Tourneur) – inconvenienced inside the 800m when taken out onto the heels of ESTICON by HALLIWELL (NZ). A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the off foreleg (2/5). Trainer, Mr J. O’Connor was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Ny Kee (F. Atkinson) – jumped away awkwardly. Inconvenienced near the 200m when BONNY IMPACT rolled in. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Esticon (J. Holder) – held up from the 400m until inside the 200m.

Out Ontario (J. Potter) - jumped away awkwardly.

Alchian (T. Pannell) – rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages; however, when asked for an effort at the entrance to the straight, failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Kimmorley (NZ) (J. Holder) - jumped away awkwardly. Laid out rounding the home turn and under pressure in the straight.

Set To Prophet (S. Payne) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes to avoid a clash with an interstate event.

Crown Mint (A. Livesey) – had difficulty obtaining clear ground from the entrance to the straight until approaching the 200m and was obliged to shift in to obtain clear ground.

Merchant Boss (J. Holder) - jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported that, in his opinion, the gelding did not appreciate the rise in weight.

Chipson (R. Milnes) – near the 400m became awkwardly placed on the heels of CHELIMO for a short distance and was only able to obtain clear ground approaching the 200m.

Willybeafactor (S. Metcalfe) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

Kayseri (NZ) (H. Yuen) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. When questioned in relation to KAYSERI (NZ) leading in the event, she explained that she had been instructed to obtain a position midfield or worse with cover, if possible, however, the gelding jumped away well and commenced to race extremely fiercely despite her efforts. She added that after finding herself in a position wide without cover approaching the 1000m, she took another hold in an attempt to come back, however, the gelding did not respond, continued to over race and found the lead. She further added that after finding the lead KAYSERI (NZ) raced more comfortably, however, commenced to weaken from near the 400m.

Chelimo (J. Eaton) – held up from near the 500m when awkwardly placed on the heels of KAYSERI (NZ), which commenced to weaken until near the 300m.

World Action (D. Tourneur) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg (2/5). Trainer, Mr A. Purcell was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Dunloe (D. Tourneur) - rider explained that he was instructed to take up a forward position, however, not to fight the gelding and allow it to settle where comfortable as it can become aggressive if restrained. He added that after finding the lead easily DUNLOE commenced to race fiercely and extended his lead on the field, however, given the instructions he did not attempt to make a greater effort to restrain.

Hypeman (T. Pannell) – raced keenly in the early stages whilst being restrained. Hung in, in the straight.

Derby Downs (R. Milnes) – rider reported that the gelding raced greenly in the event and, in her opinion, was not suited by the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Hard Prince (J. Opperman) - jumped away awkwardly and shifted in. Raced greenly in the straight and was inclined to shift about under pressure.

Mortgage Man (C. Jones) – rider reported that the gelding was not suited by the race tempo.

Southern Shooter (E. Finnegan) - jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.

Burning Bright (J. Holder) – rider reported that the filly had only travelled fairly during the event, was under pressure early and, in his opinion, did not handle the track condition. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Cherokee Miss (L. Neindorf) - raced greenly in the straight and was inclined to shift about under pressure.

Sir Reginald (T. Voorham) – slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Tipsy Vixen (F. Atkinson) – rider reported that the filly raced greenly during the event, was under pressure earlier than she had expected and was not suited by the track condition.

Jaykayann (NZ) (S. Payne) – rider reported that the mare travelled well, however, did not let down as he had expected when placed under pressure and felt uncomfortable in its action on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near hind leg (4/5). JAYKAYANN (NZ) was referred to the Morphettville Equine Clinic or further assessment and treatment. Trainer, Mr P. Payne was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

Dixie Whistler (A. Livesey) – hung out rounding the home turn.

The Genius (J. Holder) – rider reported that the gelding travelled well; however, did not let down in the going and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Fiano Now (NZ) (M. Collett) – rider reported the filly raced flat.

Back Me Up Benny (T. Voorham) – rider reported that the gelding travelled well; however, when asked for an effort did not respond at all and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.
