SAV ON ICE (T. Pannell) – got its head up when racing keenly in the early stages. Passing the 400m shifted out and momentarily tightened SILVER LIFESTYLE onto PALM OF JUMEIRAH. Hung out under pressure in the straight. Inside the 100m shifted out and inconvenienced PALM OF JUMEIRAH. Rider reported that the colt, which was having its first start today, over raced and hung out throughout.

SILVER LIFESTYLE (J. Potter) – near the 400m was momentarily tightened between PALM OF JUMEIRAH and SAV ON ICE, which shifted out.

PALM OF JUMEIRAH (L. Neindorf) – raced wide rounding the home turn. Inside the 100m was inconvenienced by SAV ON ICE, which shifted out. Performed below market expectations. Rider explained that the filly raced keenly in the early stages, which was detrimental to its chances and felt short in its action over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

TALISAY (A. Livesey) - slow to begin.

DIXIE WHISTLER (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early stages and got its head up when being restrained. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

EUREKA'S VICTORY (C. Murray) – rider reported that when placed under pressure the gelding did not respond as he had expected and, in his opinion, was somewhat disappointing. He added that EUREKA'S VICTORY pulled up in a normal manner.

EAGLELOU (J. Potter) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

SHEARMAN DYER (T. Bull) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Raced three wide without cover from the 1200m.

STORMSARRIVED (T. Childs) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

TRUSTFALL (M. Julius) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages and got its head up when being restrained. Near the 600m when over racing had to be checked to avoid the heels of HALLSTATT. Near the 150m had its hind quarters bumped by FREE BEER and as a result TRUSTFALL became unbalanced and bumped the hind quarters of CARARADA.

MAGIC FIELD (T. Bull) – at the start had its hind quarters bumped by HALLSTATT. Raced keenly in the early stages. Near the 100m shifted out and tightened HALLSTATT. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to take greater care when shifting ground.

HALLSTATT (T. Prebble) - began awkwardly, shifted out and contacted the hind quarters of MAGIC FIELD. Near the 600m when over racing had to be checked away from the heels of TRUSTFALL. Near the 150m was tightened and as a result was steadied between MAGIC FIELD, which shifted out and MINE ALL MINE, which shifted in.

RICHE D'AMOUR (B. Price) - slow to begin. Held up from near the 200m until the finish and was not fully tested to the line.

NOSIE BY NATURE (T. Pannell) – near the 250m shifted out to obtain clear running and inconvenienced FREE BEER, which had to be steadied. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to take greater care when shifting ground. Near the 150m was bumped by MISLUDI on its inside, became unbalanced, shifted out and severely hampered FREE BEER, which had to be checked.

MINE ALL MINE (C. Murray) – near the 100m shifted in and tightened HALLSTATT. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to take greater care when shifting ground.

CARARADA (R. Milnes) - near the 100m was bumped by TRUSTFALL and became unbalanced.

FREE BEER (S. Fawke) – raced keenly in the middle stages. Near the 250m had to be steadied when improving onto the heels of NOSIE BY NATURE, which shifted out at the same time to obtain clear running. Near the 100m had to be checked when buffeted between NOSIE BY NATURE, which shifted out abruptly and TRUSTFALL. As consequence, the gelding bumped the hind quarters of TRUSTFALL resulting in that runner becoming unbalanced.

MISLUDI (K. Crowther) - near the 100m improved into a run between MINE ALL MINE and NOSIE BY NATURE and in doing so, shifted out and made contact with NOSIE BY NATURE, which resulted in that runner shifting out abruptly and tightening FREE BEER, which had to be checked. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Wednesday, 18 September 2024 and to conclude midnight Wednesday, 25 September 2024, a period of three meetings. In determining penalty, Stewards took into account K. Crowther’s record and her guilty plea.

DEMANDING MO (J. Doyle) – approaching the 50m had to be steadied when tightened between BUBBLE OVER, which shifted out slightly and ZEBELLA, which shifted in when not fully clear.

LUMBER PUNK (S. Payne) - slow to begin.

PLUS FOURS (K. Crowther) - slow to begin.

STYLISH ENUFF (T. Childs) – rider reported that the connections indicated they were now going to spell the gelding.

GIRL (L. Riordan) – near the 800m when racing keenly, had to be steadied away from the heels of ZEBELLA. Rider reported that he felt that there was something amiss with the mare on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

PORTATION (S. Metcalfe) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

APACHE GUNSHIP (A. Livesey) – passing the 100m was steadied when racing in restricted room between PORTATION, which had shifted out slightly and STYLISH ENUFF, which had shifted in slightly.

FRENCHMANS BAY (J. Holder) – began awkwardly and lost ground.

ZEBELLA (L. Neindorf) – approaching the 50m shifted in and tightened DEMANDING MO onto BUBBLE OVER. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to stop riding sooner and straighten his mounts when they commence to shift ground.

ANNIE'S ROSE (R. Milnes) – rider reported that when placed under pressure in the straight, the mare responded only fairly and was dour to the line. She added that ANNIE'S ROSE pulled up in a normal manner.

NEXT DIMENSION (NZ) (J. Potter) - slow to begin.

FLEURIEU FLIPPER (C. Rawiller) – was restrained out of the event from the 800m. Trainer, Ms. R. Day was advised the gelding must perform to the Stewards’ satisfaction in an Official Barrier Trial prior to a future race. Rider explained that the gelding became awkward in its action near the 1000m, commenced to weaken from the 800m and he elected to restrain FLEURIEU FLIPPER out of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MERCHANT BOSS (N. Farley) - jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and contacted BLUE SPECIAL.

OUR DESTRIER (D. Tourneur) - began awkwardly and lost ground.

BLUE SPECIAL (J. Toeroek) – began awkwardly, lost ground and was then contacted by MERCHANT BOSS. Rider explained that due to this incident the gelding settled further back than intended.

MISS THATCHER (T. Bull) – laid out rounding the home turn. Rider explained that she felt that there was something amiss with the mare and therefore did not ride her mount out in her normal manner. She added that on pulling up MISS THATCHER made an unusual respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have atrial fibrillation (1st occurrence). Trainer Mr. G. Lynch was advised that he was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the mare to be reinstated to race.

The start of this event was delayed approximately four minutes due to WILLYBEAFACTOR having to be re-shod.

BRAVE STAR (NZ) (R. Milnes) – held up from passing the 500m until approaching the 100m.

KOMACHI (IRE) (B. Price) – contacted by at the start by A SAMURAI MIND.

A SAMURAI MIND (L. Neindorf) – shifted out on jumping away and contacted KOMACHI (IRE).

GIN O'CLOCK (IRE) (D. Keane) - held up from near the 500m until approaching the 100m.

DUAL FUEL (NZ) (T. Childs) – stood flat footed at the start and lost considerable ground.

MAGNETIC PRINCE (M. Julius) - slow to begin.

WILLYBEAFACTOR (S. Metcalfe) – had to be re-shod on arrival at the barriers. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race.

SACHEM (K. Crowther) – rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages despite settling back and without cover. She added that when asked for an effort SACHEM did not respond to her riding and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

BAMYAN BUDDHA (S. Payne) - began awkwardly. Rider reported that the gelding hung out from the 800m.

ANJOPIN (T. Childs) – injured its head in the wash bay. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination which revealed a laceration above its left eye and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice Stewards withdrew ANJOPIN at 11:58am. Co-trainer, Mrs Jaensch was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

BRISTLER (T. Bull) – rider reported that the gelding hung in for the majority of the straight and proved difficult to ride out in her normal manner over the concluding stages due to it hanging in.

SUNZOU (C. Rawiller) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

WINNING REVOLUTION (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the middle stages.

OLD TIME ROCK (Z. Spain) – began awkwardly.

SAVILLE (R. Milnes) – fractious in its barrier, began awkwardly and lost considerable ground.

ALL ABOUT EVE (T. Pannell) – rider reported that over the concluding stages he felt that there was something amiss with the mare’s action and as a result did not ride ALL ABOUT EVE out to the end of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

HOOKED ON WEALTH (K. Crowther) – hung out rounding the home turn.
