TEST THE LAW (J. Opperman) – raced keenly in the middle stages of the event.

CHOSEN MISS (F. Atkinson) – stood-flat footed and was slow to begin.

The start of this event was delayed approximately one minute to avoid a clash with an interstate event.

HYPERNOVA (K. Crowther) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. Near the100m had to be momentarily eased and alter course when THE GOLDEN FIST shifted in.

THE CREED (C. Jones) – slow to begin.

THE GOLDEN FIST (J. Toeroek) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Rider explained that the gelding was under pressure earlier than he had anticipated and for this reason he had elected to shift out to the outside of other runners approaching the 400m to give THE GOLDEN FIST a clear unimpeded run to the finish.

HALLIWELL (NZ) (J. Eaton) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted out onto MADAM MILLY. Laid in over the concluding 100m of the event. Rider reported that the mare did not feel comfortable in its action over the concluding 200m of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MADAM MILLY (J. Holder) – inconvenienced on jumping away. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have atrial fibrillation (1^st occurrence). Co-trainers, Mr. L. Jarvis & Ms C. Paisley, were advised that they was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the mare to be reinstated to race.

NAVIGLI (A. Jordsjo) – fractious in the barriers. Co-trainer, Mr R. Hannemann and Mr G. Lesnikowski, was advised that a warning had been placed on the mare. Hung out throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SPLASH LANDING (R. Milnes) – slow to begin.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes to avoid a clash with an interstate event.

STAUNCH (J. Opperman) – near the 1700m had to be momentarily steadied when RED SEQUOIA was taken in. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the near side stifle.

GOVERNOR KING (N. Farley) – rider explained that the gelding travelled well in the early stages of the event; however, was under pressure from the 600m, did not respond to his riding and was disappointing to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slower than expected recovery.

JAMROCK (M. Collett) – hampered on jumping away when contacted by RED SEQUOIA. Near the 1700m shifted in onto RED SEQUOIA. Rider was reminded of her obligations when shifting ground.

DELTA TANGO (B. Price) – change of tactics – attempt to be more forward – settled behind the leader. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. Rider was cautioned in relation to the use of his whip with an action that raises his arm above shoulder height.

BURNING BRIGHT (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event when being restrained.

RED SEQUOIA (J. Eaton) – shifted out on jumping away onto JAMROCK. Near the 1700m shifted in and away from JAMROCK onto STAUNCH. Rider explained that the gelding travelled well in the early stages of the event; however, from near the 500m commenced to weaken of its own accord and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

PUISSY GALORE (T. Johnstone) – held up from near the 600m until the 400m. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

The start of this event was delayed approximately three minutes to avoid a clash with an interstate event.

MERCHANT BOSS (B. Price) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. Near the 250m had to be eased and alter course to the outside of ROSE OF DUPORTH, which shifted in. Rider explained that the gelding raced keenly in the early and middle stages and hung out throughout the event. He added that when placed under pressure MERCHANT BOSS did not respond to his riding and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

KIRKLISTON BLU (S. Payne) – rider explained that the gelding travelled well in the early stages of the event; however, was under pressure inside the 800m. He added that he had become concerned with the gelding’s action at the entrance to the straight and for this reason did not ride out in his normal manner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrhythmia (1^st occurrence). Trainer, Ms R. Day, was advised that she was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the gelding to be reinstated to race.

WHEELS (NZ) (F. Atkinson) – stood flat-footed and was slow to begin. Rider reported that the mare was on and off the bit throughout the event, and in her opinion did not handle the track condition.

INAUGURAL (M. Collett) – shifted out on jumping away and contacted ROSE OF DUPORTH.

ROSE OF DUPORTH (J. Holder) – shifted in on jumping away and contacted INAUGURAL. Near the 250m shifted in onto MERCHANT BOSS. Rider was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground.

BRAVE STAR (NZ) (T. Johnstone) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

MORTY (S. Payne) – slow to begin.

TRUMPSTA (C. Jones) – rider reported that her mount was inclined to lay out under pressure in the straight .

AITCH D'AMICO (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the middle stages of the event.

FRANCE'S BOY (M. Collett) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

PEACEMAKER (F. Atkinson) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

CORONA LAD (N. Farley) – change of tactics – attempt to settle midfield with cover – settled behind midfield with cover. Rider was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(i) in that he used his whip in consecutive strides.

BLUSHING TYCOON (J. Holder) – rider reported that his mount travelled well in the early and middle stages of the event; however, was disappointing when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

CROWN MINT (A. Livesey) – hampered on jumping away when ICHIBANSAN was taken out into its running line. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

CAPRICORN RIDGE (J. Opperman) – slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ICHIBANSAN (R. Milnes) – inconvenienced on jumping away when taken out onto CROWN MINT.

CALL ME VEXATIOUS (C. Murray) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted out onto ICHIBANSAN.

VINO DECASA NOSTRA (NZ) (S. Payne) – inconvenienced on jumping away.

POINTLESS PRAISE (S. Metcalfe) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted out onto VINO DECASA NOSTRA.

The start of this event was delayed approximately three minutes.

KOMACHI (IRE) (R. Milnes) – jumped away extremely awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

OVEREXTEND (B. Price) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted in onto THE HASS.

PORTATION (T. Johnstone) – after being loaded required its noseband to be adjusted. Approaching the 600m was awkward on the heels of DUNMAGHLAS for a short distance.

THE ART OF FLYING (M. Collett) – following the declaration of acceptances Trainer, Mr J. Pickering, made a gear application to remove the blinkers and noseroll from the gelding’s race gear. Stewards acceded to this request and acting under AR206(2) fined Mr Pickering $200.

DUNMAGHLAS (A. Lindsay) – near the 700m became awkwardly placed on the heels of THE HASS for a number of strides.

THE HASS (C. Jones) – hampered on jumping away.

SOLAR BLAST (J. Toeroek) – shifted out on jumping away onto GALACTIC FURY.

GALACTIC FURY (S. Logan) – slow to begin and shorty after was inconvenienced when SOLAR BLAST shifted out. Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

TUPOLEU (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Near the 300m was disappointed when attempted a run between DUNMAGHLAS, which rolled in slightly, and OVEREXTEND, and then had difficulty obtaining clear ground until near the 50m.

ZARKANA (K. Crowther) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.
