MCLEOD (J. Potter) – raced fiercely in the early and middle stages of the event.

ORCHARD THIEF (J. Doyle) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid out under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that the gelding became awkward in its action on straightening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MATALIK (J. Holder) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid out under pressure in the straight and near the 100m had to be steadied and alter course to the outside of ROYAL VICTORY as it continued to lay out.

ROYAL VICTORY (L. Neindorf) – raced keenly in the middle stages.

AMBER NOOK (M. Collett) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

CUT NO ICE (NZ) (K. Crowther) – raced greenly when placed under pressure in the straight.

DARK HELMET (NZ) (J. Opperman) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

FOXY EAGLE (D. Tourneur) – slow to begin.

SAV ON ICE (T. Pannell) – near the 900m shifted in onto JEWELS CAPTAIN. Rider was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

UKI RAIN (J. Opperman) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Hampered near the 900m by BELLEZZE, which was taken wider.

BELLEZZE (M. Nunes) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Near the 900m was hampered when tightened onto UKI RAIN by JEWELS CAPTAIN, which shifted out. Near the 400m rider was forced to take hold when tightened onto FLAMING EYES by JEWELS CAPTAIN.

FLAMING EYES (K. Crowther) – slow into stride. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

MYSTIC WONDER (A. Livesey) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be exhibiting tachycardia and cardiac arrhythmia (1^st occurrence). Co-trainers, Mr G. Richards and Mr D. Moyle, were advised that they were required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the mare to be reinstated to race.

SECTORS (L. Neindorf) – fractious behind the barriers, reared over and fell. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to start. Acting on this advice Stewards declared SECTORS a late scratching at 12.25pm. Trainer, Mr P. Stokes, was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

SOMEWHERE SOON (J. Holder) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

JEWELS CAPTAIN (D. Tourneur) – in the vicinity of the 900m had to be momentarily steadied when SAV ON ICE shifted in, and shortly after shifted out slightly making heavy contact with BELLEZZE, which was hampered when taken out onto UKI RAIN. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised in future to make greater effort to keep his mounts straight and to not pass his predicament on to other riders. Near the 400m shifted in onto BELLEZZE, which had to be checked and lost its position when tightened onto FLAMING EYES. Rider was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Wednesday, 13 November 2024 and to conclude midnight Friday, 22 November 2024, a period of four meetings.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes due to a fire alarm activating in the jockey’s room area.

BILLY BONES (T. Pannell) – inside the 600m laid out onto GOLD SPY, which was inconvenienced. Rider reported that inside the 600m the gelding became disunited in its action and he had become concerned with its over the concluding stages. Rider dismounted on pulling up. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be lame in the hear hind leg (4/5). First aid administered. The gelding was referred to Morphettville Equine Clinic for further assessment. Co-trainers, Mr W. Clarken and Mr N. O’Shea, were advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

GOLD SPY (J. Toeroek) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

NAVAL ENSIGN (NZ) (C. Murray) – slow to begin.

SAKASU (M. Collett) – inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight and approaching the finish shifted in to restricted room to the inside of LUNESSA, and then became awkwardly placed on that mare’s heels to the finish.

BULLEYES (J. Opperman) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

THINKINGNINTYNINE (T. Pannell) – slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

PRICKLY POPPY (NZ) (J. Holder) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

TRUMPTY DUMPTY (J. Toeroek) – held up from near the 400m until the entrance to the straight. Rider reported that the gelding travelled fairly in the early stages; however, he was forced to race in restricted room from near the 600m until the entrance to the straight, and then when able to obtain clear ground the gelding did not sprint as he had hoped and was disappointing to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SAZERAC (J. Opperman) – had difficulty obtaining clear ground from the entrance to the straight until near the 200m.

ONE SKY ABOVE US (K. Crowther) – rider explained that it was not her intention to take up a position on pace in this event; however, after jumping away well from a poor barrier she had found herself wide without cover and elected to use her initiative to take up a position further forward and closer to the rail. Lost its off hind plate during the event.

SADLER'S SONG (R. Milnes) – held up from the vicinity of the 600m until near the 400m.

I NEED A DRINK (R. Milnes) – slow to begin. Held up from near the 500m until near the 300m. Rider reported that it was her intention to settle further forward in the event; however, after being slow to begin she was unable to do so due to the quick pace set by the leaders.

MORTY (A. Lai) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. Rider reported that the gelding was one-paced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

EASY BEAST (NZ) (J. Potter) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages whilst attempting to restrain to allow PLAISIR to cross.

STARTS NOW (J. Toeroek) – inconvenienced when contacted on jumping away.

SUNDOGG (K. Crowther) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted out bumping STARTS NOW.

PLAISIR (Z. Lloyd) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

As the horses entered the mounting yard for this event lightening was visible in the area. Stewards were able to confirm that lightening was in close proximity to the course and therefore enacted the lightening policy. As a result all races were put back one race time with Race 9 rescheduled to be run at 6.10pm.

AIR ASSAULT (J. Holder) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

SIR KINGSFORD (K. Crowther) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

MIDNIGHT MASS (NZ) (M. Nunes) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

ZARKANA (B. Price) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ALPHA FLIGHT (J. Holder) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

MADAM FURPHY (S. Payne) – jumped away extremely awkwardly unbalancing in its rider and resulting in the mare being slow into stride.

REVOLUTION BELLE (B. Price) – inside the 400m was severely hampered and the rider was forced to take hold when it received a heavy bump from SWISS WISH, which was racing to its inside.

SHIKANIC (Z. Lloyd) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

SWISS WISH (C. Murray) – approaching the 400m shifted out into a run between THE STING and REVOLUTION BELLE, where in the opinion of Stewards there was doubtful room. Shortly after THE STING rolled out marginally resulting in SWISS WISH shifting out further and making contact with REVOLUTION BELLE, resulting in SWISS WISH being inconvenienced and REVOULTION BELLE being severely hampered. Rider was severely reprimanded and advised in future to ensure there was sufficient room prior to commencing to improve into runs. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

THE STING (A. Livesey) – inside the 400m rolled out slightly onto SWISS WISH.

LUCILLE ROSE (J. Potter) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.
