Opperman) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Hampered near the 900m by BELLEZZE, which was taken wider. BELLEZZE (M. Nunes) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Near the 900m was hampered when tightened onto UKI RAIN by JEWELS CAPTAIN, which shifted out. Near the 400m rider was forced to take hold when tightened onto FLAMING EYES by JEWELS CAPTAIN. FLAMING EYES (K. Crowther) – slow into stride. Laid in under pressure in the straight. MYSTIC WONDER (A. Livesey) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be exhibiting tachycardia and cardiac arrhythmia (1st occurrence). Co-trainers, Mr G. Richards and Mr D. Moyle, were advised that they were required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the mare to be reinstated to race. SECTORS (L. Neindorf) – fractious behind the barriers, reared over and fell. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to start. Acting on this advice Stewards declared SECTORS a late scratching at 12.25pm. Trainer, Mr P. Stokes, was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start. SOMEWHERE SOON (J. Holder) – laid in under pressure in the straight. JEWELS CAPTAIN (D. Tourneur) – in the vicinity of the 900m had to be momentarily steadied when SAV ON ICE shifted in, and shortly after shifted out slightly making heavy contact with BELLEZZE, which was hampered when taken out onto UKI RAIN. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised in future to make greater effort to keep his mounts straight and to not pass his predicament on to other riders. Near the 400m shifted in onto BELLEZZE, which had to be checked and lost its position when tightened onto FLAMING EYES. Rider was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Wednesday, 13 November 2024 and to conclude midnight Friday, 22 November 2024, a period of four meetings. |

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes due to a fire alarm activating in the jockey’s room area. BILLY BONES (T. Pannell) – inside the 600m laid out onto GOLD SPY, which was inconvenienced. Rider reported that inside the 600m the gelding became disunited in its action and he had become concerned with its over the concluding stages. Rider dismounted on pulling up. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be lame in the hear hind leg (4/5). First aid administered. The gelding was referred to Morphettville Equine Clinic for further assessment. Co-trainers, Mr W. Clarken and Mr N. O’Shea, were advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start. GOLD SPY (J. Toeroek) – laid in under pressure in the straight. NAVAL ENSIGN (NZ) (C. Murray) – slow to begin. SAKASU (M. Collett) – inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight and approaching the finish shifted in to restricted room to the inside of LUNESSA, and then became awkwardly placed on that mare’s heels to the finish. Crowther) – rider explained that it was not her intention to take up a position on pace in this event; however, after jumping away well from a poor barrier she had found herself wide without cover and elected to use her initiative to take up a position further forward and closer to the rail.
