ELEANOR QUEEN (R. Milnes) – dislodged rider on arrival to the barriers and was captured by the Clerk of the Course shortly after. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to start. Laid in, in the straight. Co-trainer, Mr J. Dunn was advised that a warning had been placed on the mare in relation to its pre-race behaviour.

DANIEL MY BROTHER (H. Yuen) – slow to begin.

SURVEY LANE (A. Lindsay) – Stewards permitted A. Lindsay to ride the gelding 0.5kg over its allocated weight of 54.5kg. Jumped away awkwardly. Raced wide without cover throughout the event. Trainer, Mr T Allen, was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding in relation to its barrier manners.

BIG OL' RIG (D. Caboche) – shortly after jumping away shifted in and contacted PAINTED PONY. Hung out throughout the event. A post-race vet examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SHADOWFAX (F. Atkinson) – hung out rounding the home turn.

PAINTED PONY (A. Livesey) shortly after jumping away was inconvenienced when contacted by BIG OL’ RIG and as a result lost position. Laid in, in the straight.

ALMARHOE (A. Lai) – approaching the 1000m was steadied to avoid the heels of THE LOCKSMITH when taken in by DOT TO DOT which shifted in.

THIS ONE DAD (A. Lindsay) – slow to begin.

TOORAK BLAZE (D. Caboche) – slow to begin.

DOT TO DOT (C. Munro) – jumped away awkwardly. Approaching the 1000m when laying in shifted in and away from ANABOLIC before being straightened by its rider.

ANABOLIC (R. Milnes) – laid out, in the straight.

HUNGRY GUEST (Z. Lloyd) – approaching the winning post steadied when racing in restricted room between ALMARHOE which rolled in and ANABOLIC which rolled out.

SEEKING GLORY (Z. Lloyd) – on jumping away was tightened between EVENING BRIDE and HEY MICHAEL which both shifted ground and as a result lost position. A post-race vet examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

HE'S ABEL (R. Milnes) – near the 150m became held up for a short distance when disappointed for a run to the outside of ROCK HARD.

HEY MICHAEL (C. Murray) – jumped away awkwardly shifted out onto SEEKING GLORY. Held up rounding the home turn until the 200m and was obliged to shift in to obtain clear running.

PRESCIENT (C. Munro) – A post-race vet examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

EVENING BRIDGE (S Metcalfe) – on jumping away shifted in onto SEEKING GLORY.

FOSSHIO (C. Murray) – on jumping away was hampered when contacted by GALLANTRY GIRL which shifted in.

CELERITATE REGEM (S. Metcalfe) – on jumping away bumped with GALLANTRY GIRL. Laid in, in the straight.

A THOUSAND DEGREES (A. Livesey) - difficult to load. Trainer Mr T. Montgomerie was advised that the gelding must load without delay in an Official Barrier Trial prior to a future race start.

CHEF DE MISSION (F. Atkinson) – dipped near the 600m.

EXALTED TRAVELLER (A. Lai) – jumped away awkwardly. Approaching the 100m was held up momentarily.

GALLANTRY GIRL (A. Lindsay) – on jumping away bumped with CELERITATE REGEM and shortly after made contact with FOSSHIO. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from the entrance to the straight until near the 150m.

PRETENTIOUS DIVA (D. Caboche) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near hindleg (2/5). Trainer Mr D. Carrison, was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

MISCHIEVOUS TYCOON (H. Yuen) – dislodged its rider en route to the barrier and cantered free for some distance completing a lap of the course riderless prior to being captured by the Clerk of the Course. Acting on veterinary advice stewards declared MISCHIEVOUS TYCOON a late scratching at 3.15pm. Trainer, Mr G. Kluske was advised that a warning had been placed on the mare in relation to its pre-race behaviour. H. Yuen was examined by First Care Medical personnel and was passed fit to fulfil her remaining engagements.

VON GEORGE (J. Doyle) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bled from both nostrils. Trainer, Mr B Hull, was advised that as this was the geldings first bi-lateral bleed VON GEORGE would now be suspended from racing for a period of three months in accordance with AR79(4) and would be required to gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to accepting for future race.

Correct weight was delayed for this event to allow A. Lai (EXALTED TRAVELLER) placed fourth to view the vision in the straight.

The start of this event was delayed approximately 3 minutes owing to the late arrival of horses to the barriers. 

MISTA RAZZLEDAZZLE (J. Doyle) – approaching the 200m became held up until near the 100m and was obliged to shift out to obtain clear running.

KEEP SWINGING (C. Murray) – laid out, in the straight.

SEMYORKA (D. Caboche) – jumped away awkwardly, shortly after knuckled and lost considerable ground. Rider reported that he became concerned with the gelding’s action and for that reason he did not ride the gelding out in his usual manner for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

RIVERSIDE ROCK (C. Munro) – knuckled on jumping away.

BAD MOON RISING (F. Atkinson) – had difficulty obtaining clear running from the entrance to the straight until near the 100m.

GRINZINGER ALLEE (NZ) (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

MOUNT MADEIRA (NZ) (R. Milnes) – near the 150m was raced in restricted room between ROYAL LANDING and AXECAPITAL (NZ) which rolled in.

THE ICE CUTTER (S. Metcalfe) – raced keenly in the early and middles stages.

VANCOUVER VELVET (Z. Lloyd) – shortly after being loaded attempted to burrow under barrier and became cast. Was able to be released from barrier shortly after, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and deemed unsuitable to start. Stewards declared VANCOUVER VELVET a late scratching at 4:26pm on vets advice. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Co trainer Mr W. Hornhardt was advised that the gelding must perform to the Stewards’ satisfaction in an Official Barrier Trial or Approval Jump Out prior to a future race start.

FUNNY LEGS (J. Doyle) – laid in, in the straight.

GIVEPEACE A CHANCE (C. Munro) – slow to begin.

AXECAPITAL (NZ) (A. Lindsay) - Stewards permitted A. Lindsay to ride the gelding 0.5kg over its allocated weight of 54.5kg.

AKUBRA BLACK (H. Yuen) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes.

LUCKY DOG (I. Lam) – lost its near fore plate en route to the barriers and required Farrier attention. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race.

TYDEUS (S. Metcalfe) – laid in under pressure of the concluding stages.

AMANI FARASI (Z. Lloyd) – jumped away awkwardly. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from approaching the 200m until near the 100m.

ZOUTONS (H. Yuen) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination behind the barrier and was deemed suitable to start.

ALL CLUBS (C. Murray) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Steadied momentarily near the 50m when racing in restricted room between ALCANNABIE and ZOUTONS.

MULHALL (A. Lai) – stood flat-footed as the start was affected and lost approximately 2-3 lengths.

LAILA'S A GEM (D. Caboche) – a post- race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.
