ALL TOO MYSTI (L. Neindorf) – shortly after the entrance to the straight brushed with ENUFF SEDUCTION, which shifted in. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

LADY PARIAH (D. Tourneur) – near the 700m taken wider by QUINDIO which shifted out.

QUINDIO (C. Munro) – prior to the start being effected turned its head and as a result was slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages and near the 700m became awkwardly placed on heels and shifted out taking LADY PARIAH wider.

GOLD SPY (J. Toeroek) – at the entrance to the straight bumped with PAGANINI, which shifted out and away.

RADIANT KNIGHT (J. Eaton) – hung in under pressure in the straight and proved difficult to ride out.

ARTICULATING (S. Payne) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Raced greenly under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that his saddle shifted back from near the 700m.

EL EXPLOSIVO (B. Price) – shortly after the start bumped with SECTORS, which shifted in.

PAGANINI (D. Tourneur) – shortly after jumping away was buffeted between SCANDALIST and SHEEZA WARRIOR, which both shifted marginally. At the entrance to the straight shifted out and away from SECTORS and bumped GOLD SPY, and as a result PAGANINI had its hindquarters turned and was inconvenienced.

SHEEZA WARRIOR (Z. Lloyd) – jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported the mare laid out during the event.

BENDING AWAY (K. Crowther) – raced keenly in the early and middle stage. Approaching the finish, when laying in, shifted in and away from ARTICULATING, which had shifted in, onto DANCE WITH MIA, which was obliged to be steadied.

SCANDALIST (J. Opperman) – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SECTORS (J. Doyle) – shortly after the start shifted in and bumped EL EXPLOSIVO. Laid out under pressure in the straight. Lost its near hind plate during the event.

DANCE WITH MIA (S. Metcalfe) – approaching the finish was obliged to be steadied as BENDING AWAY, which was laying in, shifted in and away from ARTICULATING.

CIRCA (S. Fawke) – jumped away awkwardly.

MY CRACKLING (I. Lam) – near the 300m shifted out and momentarily inconvenienced SPLASH LANDING. Rider was reminded of her obligations under AR131(a) and advised to ensure that she takes greater care in future.

AMBER NOOK (M. Collett) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that she was obliged to race wide without cover throughout the event due to the barrier.

PAPPIANA (J. Opperman) – laid out rounding the home turn and under pressure in the straight.

RECIPROCAL (S. Payne) – jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride. Approaching the 400m rolled in slightly onto SUN OF OAKBANK.

SPLASH LANDING (R. Milnes) – near the 300m was disappointed for a run between WHISKERS HARBOUR (NZ) and MY CRACKLING, which shifted out. As a result, SPLASH LANDING was obliged to shift in to obtain clear running.

STECARA (C. Jones) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

WHISKERS HARBOUR (NZ) (J. Toeroek) – approaching the finish raced in restricted room between STECARA and AMBER NOOK, which was laying in, and as a result WHISKERS HARBOUR was not fully tested to the finish.

SUN OF OAKBANK (J. Potter) – slow into stride. Approaching the 400m was momentarily steadied as CHEF MILITAIRE rolled out and RECIPROCAL rolled in slightly.

CHEF MILITAIRE (D. Caboche) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages and approaching the 400m rolled out onto SUN OF OAKBANK which was momentarily steadied. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised to take greater care in future.

Correct weight for this event was delayed to allow R. Milnes (SPLASH LANDING), placed fifth, and trainer, Mr D. Jolly, to view the vision in the straight.

Following this event S. Payne was examined by the First Care Medical personnel and deemed fit to fulfill his remaining engagements.

FAST BUBBLES (J. Toeroek) – inside the 200m was disappointed for a run between THERE GOES MY HERO and RULING GODDESS, which was laying in, and as a result FAST BUBBLES was obliged to shift out near the 100m to obtain clear running.

THERE GOES MY HERO (J. Holder) – following the declaration of acceptances co-trainer, Mr A. Bain, made a gear application to remove ear muffs from the gelding’s race gear. Stewards acceded to this request and acting under AR206(2) fined the training partnership $100.

WILD INFERENCE (D. Caboche) – jumped away awkwardly.

ALEKHINE'S GUN (Z. Lloyd) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event.

RULING GODDESS (M. Collett) – raced wide and without cover in the early stages. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

OBI (T. Voorham) – required to be resaddled on arrival at the barriers. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

BYWATERS ROAD (B. King) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event. Rider was reminded of her obligations under AR131(b) and advised to ensure she rides her mounts out fully to the finish.

RED SEQUOIA (J. Potter) – lost its off hind plate during the event.

LINES OF GLORY (K. Crowther) – slow to begin and shortly after was restrained to shift in and obtain cover.

MASTER FLYNN (IRE) (M. Heagney) – prior to the start being effected lunged forward and as a result was slow to begin. Hung out from near the 500m for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg (1/5). Co-trainers, Mr G. & Mrs N Searle and Mrs B. Callanan, were advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

CUBAN LORD (A. Lai) – rider dropped his whip near the 200m. Inclined to lay in, in the early part of the straight.

AMERICAN TROUBLE (M. Chadwick) – shortly after the start was restrained and shifted in, in an attempt to gain cover. Rider reported that the mare came of the bridle from near the 800m.

CRIMSON FACTOR (A. Jordsjo) – hung out under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that the mare hung out throughout the event.

MR JONES (S. Fawke) – over-raced in the early and middle stages when being restrained by its rider.

JACOBS GATE (I. Lam) – near the 900m commenced to give ground and inside the 800m became awkward in its action and lost ground. Near the 700m fell and dislodged its rider. JACOBS GATE was examined by the Racing SA Veterinary Surgeon and found to be deceased from a suspected haemorrhage. I. Lam was examined by the First Care Medical personnel and transported to hospital for further observations.

MUFFLA (D. Tourneur) – shortly after the start lost its position when tightened between EVENTUALLY and JAYWICK, which both shifted ground. Approaching the 700m was inconvenienced as PRETTY RELIABLE shifted out when avoiding JACOBS GATE.

ALASKAN STORM (L. Neindorf) – raced wide and without cover from the 800m.

GRINZINGER BURG (NZ) (A. Lai) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event.

PINCHBECK (M. Collett) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages whilst being restrained. Rider explained that the gelding raced fierce in the early stages despite her efforts and when asked to improve failed to let down, was awkward in its action and disappointing in the event. She added that PINCHBECK may have choked down during the event. When questioned in relation to her instructions for the event M. Collett explained that she was instructed to be positive from the wide barrier. Trainer, Mr D. Aldridge, confirmed the instructions provided. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

EVENTUALLY (C. Jones) – required to be resaddled on arrival at the barrier. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

RED ROOF (S. Mitchell) – slow to begin. Near the 700m was obliged to be steadied to avoid JACOBS GATE. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

PRETTY RELIABLE (NZ) (K. Crowther) – near the 800m became awkwardly placed on the heels of JACOBS GATE, which had commenced to give ground quickly. Near the 700m shifted out to avoid JACOBS GATE and in doing so inconvenienced MUFFLA. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

Due to apprentice, I. Lam requiring to be attended to by medical professionals and a lengthy delay Stewards, in consultation with riders, postponed Race 8 at 4.58pm.
