BONANSKI (C. Tootell) - jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

HOLLIS (M. Julius) – shortly after jumping away, shifted out abruptly and as a result lost ground.

BONNAROO (J. Weatherley) - rider was only able to claim 2.5kg of her 3.0kg allowance. Rider was reprimanded under AR143(14)(a).

LOVERBULL (J. Eaton) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

EMBER FLAME (B. King) - jumped away awkwardly.

BOULDER GOLD (K. Walters) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

Rider, C. Tootell was dislodged when pulling up after the race. C. Tootell was examined by the First Care Medical Personnel and found fit to fulfil her remaining engagements. Acting under AR208(3)(b) Stewards deemed it impractical for C. Tootell to weigh in, were comfortably satisfied that BONANSKI had carried the correct weight and therefore declared correct weight for the event.

HARRY DIGGER (S. Metcalfe) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

HUGHIE'S SPIRIT (J. Eaton) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

VAL D'ISERE (J. Weatherley) – jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported that the gelding never travelled in today’s event and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

HARD LEAF (M. Wolanin) – when questioned in relation to the tactics adopted in today’s event, rider explained that her instructions were to be positive early and attempt to cross the field when in the lead near the 1000m. She added that she was instructed to continue to maintain a fast tempo and place the gelding under pressure from the 800m. Trainer, Mr D. Carrison confirmed these instructions and also added that these were the same instructions he gave to the rider in its last start and he was happy with the ride.

ILDIKO (C. Jones) – on jumping away was hampered by IRON SUSIE, which shifted in and as a result lost ground.

IRON SUSIE (M. Julius) - jumped away awkwardly and shifted in onto ILDIKO.

NANKEEN (H. Grace) – laid in, in the straight.

HEIDI HEIDI HO (T. Johnstone) - jumped away awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

DIDWEWIN (J. Opperman) – on jumping away was tightened between ZEEHAK and MAYATRIX, when both runners shifted ground and as a result lost its position.

ZAYNUDIN (IRE) (H. Grace) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

DUKE OF BEDFORD (NZ) (S. Fawke) - slow to begin.

MANGIONE (C. Puls) – the barrier gate was delayed in opening and as a result was slow to begin. Rider reported that it was her intention to settle further forward in today’s event; however, as the gelding was slow to begin, she was unable to do so.

SIX DEGREES (T. Childs) – jumped away awkwardly.

Correct weight was delayed to allow Stewards to view the vision of the start. After considering evidence from the Assistant Starter, Mr R. Lepley, rider C. Puls (MANGIONE), acting on their observations and viewing the vision, Stewards determined that the gelding was denied a fair start and declared SIX DEGREES to be a non-runner in accordance with AR204 and declared correct weight.

UNDER THE PALAIS (J. Weatherley) – on jumping away was inconvenienced when contacted by LADY ANNABEL (NZ). Rider reported that the mare raced flat in today’s event.

LOVE THE ACTION (J. Opperman) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

THEY CALL ME DUSTY (C. Puls) - jumped away awkwardly and shifted out onto LADY ANNABEL (NZ).

FROSTED GLASS (S. Fawke) – Stewards permitted FROSTED GLASS to race without a nasal strip as it had come off en route to the barriers and was unable to be re-applied. Laid out in the straight.

LADY ANNABEL (NZ) (A. Livesey) - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race. Hampered on jumping away by THEY CALL ME DUSTY, which shifted out and was taken out and contacted UNDER THE PALAIS. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

TOMBOULDER (L. Dempsey) - Change of tactics - attempt to take up a forward position in the event if possible. Horse led.

SALSBURY HILL (K. Walters) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

LORD CAT (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

STONEFIELD (A. Jordsjo) – slow to begin.

CALICO JACK (J. Weatherley) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

MISO (M. Julius) – dipped near the 400m.

TWO KAY KLICK (A. Livesey) – approaching the 400m rider had to take hold when awkwardly placed on the heels of MANDJAR. When questioned in relation to the gelding’s improved performance and betting fluctuations, Trainer, Mr R. Schultz explained he had not made any changes to TWO KAY KLICK’s work and was hopeful of a better showing than its previous starts with the removal of a tongue tie to its gear; however, he was pleasantly surprised with the result. Mr Schultz added that he had a very minor wager on the gelding, which he normally does at most starts but he did not encourage the connections or anyone associated with the stable to place a wager on the gelding.

BENOVSKY (P. Brewster) – near the 400m rider had to take hold of her mount when disappointed for a run between STYLISH ENUFF and VERDI and shifted out to obtain clear running.

VERDI (H. Grace) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MANDJAR (A. Jordsjo) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.
