All Dinkum (B. King) - jumped away awkwardly and shifted in. Hung out rounding the home turn.

Oneofthesenights (H. Yuen) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Ok Gerry (C. Tootell) – near the 900m was taken in onto Sam's Reward by Star Decorum, which shifted in.

Sam's Reward (D. Caboche) – near the 900m rider had to take hold to avoid the heels of Ok Gerry, which was taken in by Star Decorum, which shifted in.

Star Decorum (R. Milnes) – near the 900m shifted in onto Ok GerrY which was taken in onto SAM’S REWARD. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised that she must be sufficiently clear when shifting ground.

Sugar With That (J. Doyle) - jumped away awkwardly.

OLI ALPINE (C. Munro) – held up for clear running from near the 400m until to the 250m. When questioned in relation to the improved performance of the gelding, Trainer, Mr J. McMahon explained that he was only hopeful of a more forward showing in today’s event. He further explained that with the drop in distance and a positive ride, Oli Alpine performed much better than expected and he was pleasantly surprised with the result.

Wyndham Knight (F. Atkinson) – hung out throughout the event and proved difficult to ride. Trainer, Ms S. Williams was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding in relation to its racing manners.

Kung Fu Kisses (NZ) (C. Tootell) – when questioned in relation to the disappointing performance, rider explained that the filly only travelled fairly throughout the event and resented the kickback. She added that when placed under pressure Kung Fu Kisses (NZ) did not respond to her riding and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

At the completion of this event Stewards were advised by the Judge that the photo finish system had malfunctioned. Correct weight was delayed for this event to allow the Judge to confirm the placings from the vision. Acting under AR214 the placings for this event were determined by the Judge and was manually timed.

Badiss (W. Cave) - slow to begin. Laid in, in the straight.

Harbouring (C. Rawiller) – rider was reminded of his obligations under AR131(b) to ensure he rides his mounts out fully to the line.

ON BAIL (NZ) (D Caboche) – slow to begin. Failed to muster any speed in the early stages of the event despite the efforts of its rider.

Jamrock (C. Rawiller) – jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

Crimson Factor (T. Hutchinson) – hung out rounding the home turn and in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Semyorka (R. Milnes) – rider reported that the gelding laid in throughout the event.

Devine Assassin (C. Tootell) – laid in, in the straight.

Excelman (NZ) (P. Brewster) – rounding the home turn was held up momentarily behind Famous Knight, which had commenced to weaken and shifted out to obtain clear running.

Onemore Marshall (D. Caboche) – rider reported that he became concerned with the gelding’s action in the home straight and for that reason he did not ride ONEMORE MARSHALL out in his usual manner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Trainer, Ms J. Stoetzer was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding for being uncompetitive.

Famous Knight (R. Milnes) – rider reported that when crossed near the 800m the gelding failed to respond to her riding and commenced to weaken. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Melmac (C. Munro) – held up for clear running between the 700m and near the 500m. Near 500m became awkwardly placed on the heels of Hot Flush for a short distance before obtaining clear running.

The Master (C. Tootell) – knuckled on jumping away. Near the 1200m raced in restricted room for a short distance between Bad Moon Rising and Melmac.

GRINZINGER STAR (NZ) (P. Brewster) – had difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the home turn. Was held for a short distance near the 200m behind SHAME FOR FAME and shifted in to obtain clear running. Shortly after shifted in and away from SHAME FOR FAME which was laying in.

LUCKY DOG (C Munro) – race keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

MISS DIAMANTINA (F. Atkinson) – on jumping away shifted out onto SHAME FOR FAME. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had bled from both nostrils. Co-trainer, Mr D Magro was advised that as this was the mare’s first bi-lateral bleed MISS DIAMANTINA would now be suspended from racing for a period of three months in accordance with AR79(4) and would be required to gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to accepting for a trial or race start.

SHAME FOR FAME (H. Yuen) – on jumping away was inconvenienced by MISS DIAMANTINA which shifted out and as a result lost its position. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid in, in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg (2/5). Trainer, Mr B Davis was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

BERKINSON (T. Hutchinson) – laid in, in the straight.

Mandragorian (A. Lindsay) – injured itself en route to course. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice Mandragorian was declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 1.49pm.

TIME WARRIOR (A. Jordsjo) – rider could offer no explanation for the geldings disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

LEON'S SHOUT (A. Lai) – approaching the winning post altered course when the gelding improved onto the heels of MAGICOURT.

MAGICOURT (F. Atkinson) – laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.

NASDANA (C. Tootell) – jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin.

TANE TOA (NZ) (J. Doyle) – slow into stride.
