RABTAT (T. Pannell) – performed below market expectations. Rider reported that the gelding raced in a flat manner today and did not respond to his riding as he had anticipated when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SILENT DON (R. Milnes) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

STORMSARRIVED (M. Collett) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

WHATSANAMEGEORGE (J. Toeroek) – rider reported that the gelding commenced to hang out prior to straightening and continued to hang out for the remainder of the race.

EXOPIPI (L. Neindorf) – held up from near the 450m until near the near 250m.

FIZIQUE (K. Crowther) – raced wide without cover from the 900m.

RUBAMOS (J. Holder) – hung out under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that when placed under pressure near the 400m the gelding did not respond to his riding and was, in his opinion, disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MASTER EIGHT (J. Toeroek) – raced keenly in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

DELIGHTFUL SHECKY (J. Opperman) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

CARARADA (R. Milnes) - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival the barriers and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice Stewards withdrew CARARADA at 1:27pm.

SPIRIT OF CAMELOT (IRE) (T. Pannell) – near the 1000m was steadied and then shifted out to avoid the heels of ZOOMED, which had been checked.

BURNING BRIGHT (J. Holder) – near the 1000m shifted in when insufficiently clear of ZOOMED, which was checked to avoid the heels of that mare. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Wednesday, 13 November 2024 and to conclude midnight Wednesday, 20 November 2024, a period of three meetings. In determining penalty, Stewards took into account J. Holder’s record and his guilty plea.

HAMPTON QUEEN (L. Neindorf) – fractious in its barrier prior to the start being effected and began awkwardly. Hung out rounding the home turn. Rider reported that the mare gave ground quickly over the concluding stages and on pulling up made unusual respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ZOOMED (J. Eaton) – raced keenly in the middle stages. Near the 1000m was checked to avoid the heels of BURNING BRIGHT, which shifted in when insufficiently clear.

MISSILE STAR (M. Collett) – near the 1000m shifted out when awkwardly placed near the heels of SPIRIT OF CAMELOT (IRE), which had been steadied off the heels of ZOOMED. Rider reported that the mare commenced to over race in the middle stages and for this reason she permitted her mount to stride forward and race wide without cover from near the 800m for the remainder of the race.

LIMBERING (A. Lai) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

MYRTLE CREEK (NZ) (M. Nunes) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes owing to ANGELIC APPEAL having to be re-shod behind the barriers.

SURPRISE COMING (S. Payne) – began awkwardly. Over the concluding stages raced in restricted room between ANGELIC APPEAL and PEARL ADIOS. Rider reported that the gelding raced in a dour manner today and did not quicken as he had anticipated when placed under full pressure.

TAPINFORPAR (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that the gelding changed stride and became unbalanced near the 800m and again near the 400m.

PEARL ADIOS (J. Holder) – fractious in its barrier. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race.

VOLTAGE POINT (M. Nunes) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages and got its head upon on several occasions when being steadied.

THE MANSMAN (NZ) (L. Neindorf) – passing the 200m attempted a run between ANGELIC APPEAL and SURPRISE COMING, when there was insufficient room to improve and as a result was steadied. Rider explained that after being steadied near the 200m he felt that there was something amiss with the gelding’s action and therefore he did not ride his mount out in his normal manner from this point on. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ANGELIC APPEAL (J. Opperman) – had to be re-shod on arrival at the barriers. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race. Held up from near the 400m until near the 300m. Approaching the winning post when racing in restricted room between SURPRISE COMING and EASY CAMPESE, which shifted out slightly, was accidentally struck in the vicinity of the head by the whip of R. Milnes (EASY CAMPESE).

Correct weight was delayed to allow, Co-trainer, Mr G. Alexander (ANGELIC APPEAL), placed third, to view the vision in the straight.

FALAISE (J. Opperman) - slow to begin.

RIALTOR (Z. Lloyd) - began awkwardly and shifted in. Near the 1300m shifted in abruptly and took HIGH FIVE (NZ) in off its course. Rider was advised to exercise far greater care when in similar circumstances.

NULLIFY (B. Price) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 200m was taken out slightly by CAPTAIN JOOLIAN and tightened MADISON KATE onto ONEMORE MARSHALL, which when hanging in had shifted in.

OBI (K. Crowther) - slow to begin. Held up from the 400m until near the 250m. Near the 150m was taken out off its course by VEE ROD (NZ), which had shifted out to avoid the heels of MADISON KATE.

VEE ROD (NZ) (A. Lai) - jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and bumped SHISUTA BO. Held up from the 500m until near the 300m. Approaching the 200m shifted out to avoid the heels of MADISON KATE, which was steadied and as a result took OBI out off its course.

MADISON KATE (L. Neindorf) – approaching the 200m rider was obliged to take hold when tightened for room between ONEMORE MARSHALL, which when laying in, shifted in and NULLIFY, which was taken out slightly by CAPTAIN JOOLIAN.

RUN ON (NZ) (R. Milnes) – rider reported that the gelding was a little slow to jump and as a result settled further back than intended.

HIGH FIVE (NZ) (T. Pannell) – raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 1300m was taken in off its course by RIALTOR before that gelding was straightened by its rider.

ONEMORE MARSHALL (J. Holder) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Hung in under pressure in the straight. Approaching the 200m when hanging in, shifted in and tightened the running of MADISON KATE. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised that he would be expected to make a greater effort to straighten his mounts when in similar circumstances.

SHISUTA BO (A. Livesey) – following the declaration of acceptances Trainer, Mr T. Doudle made a gear application to remove blinkers from the mare’s race gear. Stewards acceded to this request and acting under AR206(2) fined Mr Doudle $200. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course and was deemed suitable to race. Bumped at the start by VEE ROD (NZ). Rider reported that the mare pulled up in a slightly distressed manner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

TIPPA (R. Milnes) – raced keenly in the early stages.

CONCORDE (GB) (M. Nunes) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

DIXIE WHISTLER (A. Livesey) – near the 900m was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of LAVISH THINKER.

LODBROK (FR) (T. Pannell) – laid out under pressure in the straight. Performed below market expectations. Rider could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

DAIQUIRI (IRE) (J. Holder) – performed below market expectations. Rider reported that although the gelding was forced to work when he made a mid-race move to go forward, DAIQUIRI (IRE) did not respond to his riding when placed under pressure and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

DUAL FUEL (NZ) (M. Collett) – stood flat footed at the start and lost ground.

DISAGREEABLE MISS (B. Price) – rider reported that he felt there was something amiss with the mare’s action over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SENTIMENTAL FLAME (A. Lai) – rider explained that after being caught extremely wide in the early stages, he elected to allow the mare to stride forward and as a consequence found the lead near the 1800m.

SANTASTICO (M. Collett) – at the start was tightened and lost ground when bumped between SUNZOU, which shifted in and THE GOV, which shifted out. Rider reported that the gelding hung out for the majority of the race.

OVERSTRIKE (F. Atkinson) – near the 800m shifted in and took GRAND HOST in onto THE STALKER. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised to stop riding and straighten her mounts much sooner than she did on this occasion.

ZANTHRON (R. Milnes) – near the 800m shifted out and tightened THE STALKER, which had also received pressure from its outside. Rider was notified that she must make every effort to keep her mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances. Performed below market expectations. Rider explained that the gelding did not respond to her riding when placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed small abrasions to both hind legs and off foreleg.

HOWL (J. Potter) - slow to begin. Near the 800m was severely checked to avoid the heels of THE STALKER, which had also been severely checked at this point.

SUNZOU (T. Pannell) - began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped SANTASTICO.

THE STALKER (A. Livesey) – near the 800m clipped heels and was severely checked when tightened between ZANTHRON, which shifted out and GRAND HOST, which was taken in by OVERSTRIKE. Rider explained that after being interfered with near the 800m she felt that there was something amiss with the gelding’s action and therefore did not ride THE STALKER out from this point onwards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

LEFT TURN CLYDE (M. Nunes) - began awkwardly.

THE GOV (A. Lai) – approaching the winning post rider lost the use of both reins for a short distance.

RICHED (S. Payne) – approaching the 100m when improving was steadied and then shifted out when awkwardly placed on the heels of SECRET WAR, which had commenced to give ground.

GRAND HOST (A. Jordsjo) – near the 800m was steadied when racing tightly between THE STALKER, which was taken out slightly by ZANTHRON and OVERSTRIKE, which shifted in.

HALLSTATT (J. Opperman) – fractious in its barrier as the start was effected, began awkwardly and shortly after was hampered by FREE BEER, which had shifted out. Approaching the winning post was bumped and inconvenienced by FREE BEER, which shifted in under pressure.

BOOMSONG (J. Holder) – approaching the winning post was inconvenienced when tightened by HALLSTATT, which was taken in by FREE BEER, which shifted in. Rider explained that after beginning well and being caught extremely wide early, he allowed the gelding to stride forward and as result settled in a more forward position than its previous starts.

FREE BEER (M. Collett) - began awkwardly, shifted out and hampered HALLSTATT. Approaching the winning post shifted in whilst being ridden along and contacted HALLSTATT, which then shifted in and bumped BOOMSONG. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised to stop riding and straighten her mounts in similar circumstances. Shortly after this was contacted by HALLSTATT, which shifted out.

DERBY DOWNS (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the middle stages.

EXTRA HOT (D. Tourneur) - began awkwardly.

MISLUDI (L. Neindorf) - began awkwardly.

SEAFARING (NZ) (J. Eaton) – fractious in its barrier prior to the start being effected and began awkwardly.

THE ICE CUTTER (J. Potter) – approaching the winning post was steadied when awkwardly placed near the heels of FREE BEER, which had shifted in before then shifting back out.
