Potter) – near the 400m was momentarily tightened between PALM OF JUMEIRAH and SAV ON ICE, which shifted out. PALM OF JUMEIRAH (L. Neindorf) – raced wide rounding the home turn. Inside the 100m was inconvenienced by SAV ON ICE, which shifted out. Performed below market expectations. Rider explained that the filly raced keenly in the early stages, which was detrimental to its chances and felt short in its action over the concluding stages. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to take greater care when shifting ground. HALLSTATT (T. Prebble) - began awkwardly, shifted out and contacted the hind quarters of MAGIC FIELD. Near the 600m when over racing had to be checked away from the heels of TRUSTFALL. Near the 150m was tightened and as a result was steadied between MAGIC FIELD, which shifted out and MINE ALL MINE, which shifted in. RICHE D'AMOUR (B. Price) - slow to begin. Held up from near the 200m until the finish and was not fully tested to the line. NOSIE BY NATURE (T. Pannell) – near the 250m shifted out to obtain clear running and inconvenienced FREE BEER, which had to be steadied. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to take greater care when shifting ground. Near the 150m was bumped by MISLUDI on its inside, became unbalanced, shifted out and severely hampered FREE BEER, which had to be checked. MINE ALL MINE (C. Murray) – near the 100m shifted in and tightened HALLSTATT. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to take greater care when shifting ground. CARARADA (R. Milnes) - near the 100m was bumped by TRUSTFALL and became unbalanced. FREE BEER (S. Fawke) – raced keenly in the middle stages. Near the 250m had to be steadied when improving onto the heels of NOSIE BY NATURE, which shifted out at the same time to obtain clear running. Near the 100m had to be checked when buffeted between NOSIE BY NATURE, which shifted out abruptly and TRUSTFALL. As consequence, the gelding bumped the hind quarters of TRUSTFALL resulting in that runner becoming unbalanced. MISLUDI (K. Crowther) - near the 100m improved into a run between MINE ALL MINE and NOSIE BY NATURE and in doing so, shifted out and made contact with NOSIE BY NATURE, which resulted in that runner shifting out abruptly and tightening FREE BEER, which had to be checked. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Wednesday, 18 September 2024 and to conclude midnight Wednesday, 25 September 2024, a period of three meetings. In determining penalty, Stewards took into account K. Crowther’s record and her guilty plea. |

Day was advised the gelding must perform to the Stewards’ satisfaction in an Official Barrier Trial prior to a future race. Rider explained that the gelding became awkward in its action near the 1000m, commenced to weaken from the 800m and he elected to restrain FLEURIEU FLIPPER out of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. MERCHANT BOSS (N. Farley) - jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and contacted BLUE SPECIAL. OUR DESTRIER (D. Tourneur) - began awkwardly and lost ground. BLUE SPECIAL (J. Toeroek) – began awkwardly, lost ground and was then contacted by MERCHANT BOSS. Rider explained that due to this incident the gelding settled further back than intended. MISS THATCHER (T. Bull) – laid out rounding the home turn. Rider explained that she felt that there was something amiss with the mare and therefore did not ride her mount out in her normal manner. She added that on pulling up MISS THATCHER made an unusual respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have atrial fibrillation (1st occurrence). Trainer Mr. G. Lynch was advised that he was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the mare to be reinstated to race. |

FRANCE'S BOY (Z. Lloyd) – raced keenly in the lead. SILENT DON (R. Milnes) – near the 400m became unbalanced when bumped by REBEL CONSORTIUM. SIR RANDOLPH (T. Pannell) - raced keenly in the early and middle stages. SPACE EQUITY (T. Childs) - began awkwardly and lost ground. Laid out rounding the home turn and in the straight. KIRKLISTON BLU (T. Voorham) - raced keenly in the early stages. EIGHT ON THE DOT (NZ) (S. Fawke) - began awkwardly and lost ground. RAW GRUNT (T. Prebble) – commenced to buck shortly after the start and lost considerable ground. Co-trainers, Mr G. Richards and Mr D Moyle were advised the gelding must perform to the Stewards’ satisfaction in an Official Barrier Trial prior to a future race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. REBEL CONSORTIUM (J. Holder) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had bled from both nostrils. Trainer, Mr A. Gluyas was advised that as this was the mare’s first bi-lateral bleed REBEL CONSORTIUM would now be suspended from racing for a period of three months in accordance with AR79(4) and would be required to have the gelding reinstated in accordance with AR79(4)(b) prior to a future race. SPEC RAIDER (A. Jordsjo) - began awkwardly and lost ground. |
