SON OF A BLONDE (C. Munro) – rider explained that near the 1100m she elected to take hold of her mount and as she did the gelding got its head up.

SHOULDSUEEM (S. Mitchell) – hung out rounding the home turn and in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

TRUPTICON (M. Wolanin) – fractious in its barrier. Trainer, Mr D. Nolan was advised that a warning had been placed on the mare in relation to its barrier manners.

LUNAR SOLAR (S. Mitchell) – rider explained that the mare was under pressure early in the event and LUNAR SOLAR’s heavy weight may have been detrimental to its chances in the event.

RICHED (T. Hutchinson) – hung in under pressure in the straight.

TRELAZE (P. Brewster) – reared on jumping away and made contact with its rider’s head and shortly after P. Brewster made heavy contact with the top of the gate. P. Brewster was examined by First Care Medical personnel and was passed fit to fulfil her remaining engagements. Co-trainer, Mr W. Hornhardt was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding in relation to its barrier manners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

Correct weight for this event was delayed to allow Stewards, the Starter and P. Brewster (TRELAZE) to view the vision of the start in relation to TRELAZE.

DJANGO EXPRESS (B. King) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

Following the running of this event, P. Brewster was re-examined by First Care Medical Personnel and was passed fit to fulfil her remaining engagements.

BONJOUR DE GAULLE (B. King) – near the 50m shifted out when insufficiently clear of LADY TUCAN and as a result its rider was obliged to take hold when tightened onto SIR PANAMA. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Sunday, 25 August 2024 and to conclude midnight Saturday, 31 August 2024, a period of three meetings.

THE CASSINI (A. Lai) – slow into stride.

MARINA (Z. Lloyd) – hung out rounding the home turn. Rider explained that the gelding travelled well in the event; however, when asked for an effort in the straight MARINA did not respond to her riding and was disappointing to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

VEGAS DESTINY (NZ) (M. Wolanin) – slow to begin.

LADY TUCAN (P. Brewster) – near the 50m rider was obliged to take hold to avoid the heels of BONJOUR DE GAULLE, which shifted out when insufficiently clear when tightened onto SIR PANAMA.

Correct weight was delayed to allow P. Brewster (LADY TUCAN), placed third and Trainer, Mr D. Penna to view the vision in the straight.

JAMCRA (NZ) (B. King) - jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin. Rider dropped her whip at the entrance to the straight.

RIPPLE EFFECT (NZ) (I. Lam) – rider was reminded of her obligations under AR131(b) and to ensure she rides her mounts out fully to the finish.

ALMARHOE (Z. Lloyd) – rider explained that the gelding travelled well during the event, however, when asked for an effort in the straight, ALMARHOE did not respond to her riding and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

The start of this event was delayed approximately four minutes owing to First Care Personnel attending to a patron on course.

BERKINSON (T. Hutchinson) – rider reported that the gelding travelled well during the event; however, when placed under pressure in the straight, she became concerned with BERKINSON’s action and therefore did not ride her mount out in her normal manner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the gelding’s near hind fetlock.

MIKKI BEAN (S. Mitchell) – rider reported that the gelding laid out rounding the home turn.

SASSY ANGEL (P. Brewster) – approaching the 100m was obliged to alter course to the inside of CRY CRY BABY, which shifted out.

POUVOIR DE SOIE (A. Lindsay) - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race. Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.
