ANTONINUS (A. Lindsay) – shortly after the start was inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the heels of OUTDOOR CAT.

RIVER CLYDE (D. Caboche) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted out.

STRASBEAU (S. Metcalfe) – hung out throughout the event. Approaching the finish shifted out.

EMBER FLAME (S. Mitchell) – slow to begin. Approaching the finish became awkwardly placed on the heels of STRASBEAU and was not fully tested to the line.

I AM A FINE LINE (Z. Lloyd) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the off foreleg (2/5). Trainer, Ms R. Day, was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

IRRESISTABELLA (K. Crowther) – became loose in the parade ring before being recaptured. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination prior to entering the mounting yard and was deemed suitable to start. Required to have its blinkers changed on arrival at the barriers. Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out. At the entrance to the straight became awkward in its action for a number of strides when racing inside OUTDOOR CAT and behind ZOUHOFF, and thereafter became held up for clear running until near the 300m.

OUTDOOR CAT (T. Hutchinson) – jumped away awkwardly.

WILD WINNER (J. Holder) – hung in under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that the filly raced greenly throughout the event.

MERCURY EIGHT (A. Lai) – hung out severely throughout the event, under pressure in the straight and proved difficult for the rider to ride out in his normal manner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Trainer, Mr B. Bogarts, was advised that a warning had been placed on the gelding in relation to its racing manners.

TESTA DURA (T. Johnstone) – lost its off hind plate during the event.

THE PROPHET'S HAND (J. Holder) – laid out from the 800m for the remainder of the event.

BELFAST CHILD (T. Voorham) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted out. Rider reported that it was her intention to settle closer in the event on the mare; however, given the early pace in the race she was unable to do so.

MISS PANTHERLOT (B. Price) – shortly after the start lost ground when awkwardly placed on the heels of CRACKEN GOOD TIME.

RICH LADY (K. Crowther) – rider could offer no explanation in relation to the mare’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SABIE FALLS (T. Hutchinson) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

HOOD RAT (NZ) (W. Cave) – jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin, and shortly after was checked and shifted in.

COLLATED (A. Jordsjo) – jumped away awkwardly. Near the 1000m, when racing keenly, rolled out and inconvenienced MY CRACKLING. Eased down by its rider from inside the 200m. Rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages of the event; however, after being placed under pressure from shortly after the entrance to the straight failed to respond to her riding, commenced to weaken from the event and from shortly after inside the 200m she elected to restrain and ease the gelding down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. On Thursday, 22 August 2024 trainer, Mr M. Seyers, reported on return to the stable the gelding showed no abnormalities and it was his intention to spell the horse.

DYNAMIC EAGLE (R. Milnes) – jumped away awkwardly. Made abnormal respiratory noises on return to the mounting yard. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an abnormal upper respiratory noise. Trainer, Mr B. Campbell, was advised that a Veterinary Clearance including the results of an endoscope were required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

FAST BUBBLES (J. Toeroek) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages whilst being restrained.

HARRY DIGGER (C. Murray) – shortly after the start from its wide barrier shifted in.

MY CRACKLING (T. Pannell) – near the 1000m was inconvenienced as COLLATED rolled out.

THE REAL PRINCE (D. Tourneur) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

BAD TO THE BONE (A. Lai) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

HARD LEAF (M. Wolanin) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event. Approaching the 200m brushed with RAW GRUNT. Following the event the gelding reared and hit its head in its tie-up stall. Underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have blood in the near side nostril due to external trauma. Trainer, Mr D. Carrison, was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

PETA'S HEART (J. Eaton) – shortly after the start shifted in to obtain cover. Held up for clear running from the entrance to the straight until near the 300m when racing inside RAW GRUNT and behind STAR CASINO.

SWISS WISH (C. Jones) – raced keenly and wide without cover throughout the event.

RAW GRUNT (I. Lam) – held up for clear running from the entrance to the straight until approaching the 200m. Initially when racing between RICH LADY and STAR CASINO, shifted out near the 300m and became awkwardly placed on the heels of BAD TO THE BONE until approaching the 200m and shifted out and brushed HARD LEAF.

OCEANSKY (S. Logan) – dislodged its rider en route to the barriers. S. Logan was examined by the First Care Medical personnel on arrival at the barriers and passed fit to fulfil her engagements. Shortly after the start from its wide barrier shifted in.

PRIDE OF SHALAA (T. Johnstone) – on jumping away was tightened between CHUCKAMICKY and READY SET TAP which shifted in. Held up for clear running from the entrance to the straight until approaching the 200m when racing inside LILLA BJELLE and behind NOVUS ACTUS and shifted out. Rider reported that she was obliged to settle further back than she had intended, after straightening she had elected to ride for luck and was unable to clear gain running until near the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ALLEGEDLY (NZ) (D. Caboche) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

READY SET TAP (S. Metcalfe) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted in onto PRIDE OF SHALAA.

AMAZES (A. Lai) – shortly after the start shifted out onto EM BRYAN.

BYWATERS ROAD (B. King) – raced keenly in the early stages.

ELEGANT POETESS (R. Milnes) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

NOVUS ACTUS (C. Tootell) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

EM BRYAN (T. Hutchinson) – shortly after the start was tightened between CHUCKAMICKY and AMAZES which shifted out. Pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Held up for clear running from the entrance to the straight until near the 150m when racing between AMAZES, PRIDE OF SHALAA and LILLA BJELLE.

FIZIQUE (S. Logan) – jumped away awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

HOT FLUSH (T. Hutchinson) – raced wide and without cover in the early stages. Rider reported that the mare raced keenly in the early stages and wide, and this may have been a detriment to its chances. Stewards questioned the rider in relation to her riding of the mare approaching the finish. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(b) and advised to ensure she rides her mounts out to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

WHISKY SOUR (M. Wolanin) – raced wide and without cover from the 1600m until near the 1200m. At the entrance to the straight was taken wider by PROJECT GUTENBERG (NZ), which was hanging out and shifted out. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

TAMETOMO (NZ) (T. Voorham) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

MILITARY PRESS (S. Fawke) – slow to begin.

BELLA KATHLEEN (C. Tootell) – appeared to jump the crossing near the 1800m. Approaching the 400m was disappointed for a run between POINTLESS PRAISE and HOT FLUSH, and was obliged to shift out in an attempt to gain clear running.

HOSTESS SUSIE (B. Price) – after being loaded in its barrier broke through the front of its barrier gate and was quickly restrained by its rider. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to start. Shortly after the start from its wide barrier, shifted in.

SASUN (R. Milnes) – 12-year-old gelding. underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course and was deemed suitable to start. Shortly after the start shifted in to gain cover. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

DROP THE ORANGE (J. Eaton) – shortly after the start, from its wide barrier, shifted in. Rider reported that the gelding hung in throughout the event.

PROJECT GUTENBERG (NZ) (B. King) – hung out from the 800m and at the entrance to the straight shifted out taking WHISKY SOUR wider.

IRISH MIST (S. Mitchell) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event.

STORM VOYAGER (M. Wolanin) – raced wide and without cover throughout the event.

MISS THATCHER (T. Hutchinson) – difficulty obtaining clear running from the entrance to the straight until near the 200m when racing inside MASTER FLYNN (IRE).

MASTER FLYNN (IRE) (C. Tootell) – inside the 400m rolled in onto CROWN MOSHE.

OUR SHINING STAR (J. Toeroek) – jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin. Shortly after shifted in to obtain cover.

SOMEWATT FABULOUS (B. King) – as the start was affected turned its head and as a result jumped away very awkwardly and was slow to begin.

ROMANOVA (S. Metcalfe) – began well.

JIVE BABY (R. Milnes) – became fractious in its tie-up stalls and kicked out. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and found to have a cut to its off-hind leg and therefore was deemed unsuitable to start. Acting on this advice Stewards declared JIVE BABY a late scratching at 2.10pm.

NOT A SINGLE BID (J. Holder) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

CROWN MOSHE (Z. Lloyd) – inside the 400m raced in restricted room between MISS THATCHER and MASTER FLYNN (IRE), which rolled in, and was obliged to shift out to obtain clear running.

MR WHITACRE (S. Logan) – difficulty obtaining clear running from the entrance to the straight until near the 300m and shifted out to obtain clear running.

Correct weight for this event was delayed to allow the Stewards to view the vision of the start and the photo finish.
