GOLDRUSH GURU (C. Jones) – inconvenienced on jumping away when its hindquarters were turned by TALISAY, which had been taken out. Near the 1000m shifted in when insufficiently clear of MONDELLO, forcing the rider of that colt to take hold to avoid the heels of GOLDRUSH GURU. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR131(a) and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence midnight Sunday, 22 September 2024 to conclude midnight Sunday, 29 September 2024, a period of three meetings. Laid out under pressure in the straight and near the 50m shifted out and had to be steadied off the heels of TALISAY.

BIG BRUTE (F. Atkinson) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid in under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to its off hind leg. First aid administered.

QUEENOFTHEAIR (B. Price) – shifted out abruptly on jumping away onto TALISAY.

TALISAY (R. Milnes) – inconvenienced on jumping away when tightened onto GOLDRUSH GURU by QUEENOFTHEAIR.

MONDELLO (T. Johnstone) – raced keenly in the early stages whilst being restrained. Near the 1000m was forced to take hold to avoid the heels of GOLDRUSH GURU, which shifted in when insufficiently clear. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the colt to be lame in the off foreleg (1/5). Co-trainers, Mr R. Jolly and Miss C. Jolly, were advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

ARAMOSO (D. Caboche) – slow to begin.

BOLTONOVA (D. Tourneur) – rider reported that the gelding over-raced in the early and middle stages and near the 600m improved into a position where there was insufficient room despite his efforts, and as a result he was forced to take hold and lost ground. He added that the gelding laid out in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

COMMISSIONS (T. Pannell) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a puncture wound and be lame in the near foreleg (1/5). Trainer, Mr M. Hickmott, was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

JOVIALE (M. Collett) – on jumping away shifted out and away from BRIGHT SHOW onto MAHENO. Rider reported that the gelding hung in severely in the straight resulting in her only having limited control and being unable to fully test JOVIALE.

MAHENO (M. Chadwick) – hampered on jumping away when tightened between OOCHIE MAGUCCHEE, which shifted in, and JOVIALE, which shifted out and away from BRIGHT SHOW.

MONTANA STATE (T. Johnstone) – near the 700m shifted in slightly towards RADIANT KNIGHT.

OVERSTATED (J. Holder) – jumped away awkwardly. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight and brushed ARAMOSO.

RADIANT KNIGHT (J. Eaton) – near the 700m shifted in and away from MONTANA STATE, made contact with the running rail, became unbalanced and lost ground. Near the 50m had to be momentarily steadied and alter course when OOCHIE MAGUCCHEE shifted out, and then was unable to be fully tested to the finish.

BRIGHT SHOW (F. Atkinson) – laid out rounding the home turn and under pressure in the straight, and inside the 200m became unbalanced when it shifted out and brushed RADIANT KNIGHT. Lost its near hind plate during the event. A post-race veterinary examination was ordered by Stewards; however, the mare had left the course prior to being examined. Trainer, Mr C. Bieg, advised that BRIGHT SHOW had a minor laceration to its near hind heel, and provided photographic evidence of this to Stewards. Mr Bieg was reprimanded under AR165(3) in relation to the horse leaving the course prior to the proscribed time.

OOCHIE MAGUCCHEE (J. Toeroek) – shifted in on jumping away onto MAHENO. Laid out under pressure over the concluding 200m and near the 50m shifted out onto RADIANT KNIGHT, which had to be momentarily steadied and alter course. Rider reminded of his obligations when shifting ground. Lost its near hind plate during the event.

CALL ME VEXATIOUS (C. Murray) – laid out in the straight.

CHOSEN MISS (R. Milnes) – rider reported that the mare raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

BUSH INFLUENCE (J. Holder) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

WHISPERING PHARAOH (T. Pannell) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind leg (2/5). Trainer, Mr R. Hickmott, was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

BOLSHOI PRINCESS (L. Neindorf) – rider reported that mare over-raced in the early and middle stages of the event, and this was detrimental to it finishing the event off.

WARRANDYTE ROAD (J. Potter) – trainer, Mr P. Moody, made a submission to Stewards that he be permitted to scratch the gelding as he had just been advised that WARRANDYTE ROAD had gained a start in a heat of the Jericho Series at Mount Gambier on Sunday, 22 September 2024. He added that the stable were looking to have the gelding qualify for the final of that series as part of its current preparation. Stewards acceded to the request and declared WARRANDYTE ROAD a late scratching at 9.15am.

SANDASTAN (R. Milnes) – rider reported that her gelding raced flat and in her opinion may not have handled the quick back up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ON THE SCENT (M. Collett) – laid out rounding the home turn and under pressure in the straight. Rider reported that it was not her intention to settle outside the leader; however, after being caught wide without cover in the early stages of the event she had used her initiative to improve rather than remain in that position.

DELTA TANGO (B. Price) – rider reported that it was not his intention to lead the event; however, after jumping away well and applying minor pressure to obtain a position the mare responded and raced to obtain the lead of its own accord.

EIGHT ON THE DOT (NZ) (S. Fawke) – jumped away awkwardly.

ALPINE BEAU (D. Caboche) – slow to begin.

LA CASONA (D. Keane) – laid out under pressure over the concluding 100m of the event.

THE GOLDEN FIST (J. Toeroek) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

RICHE D'AMOUR (B. Price) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Lost its off fore plate during the event.

DOLCEMENTE (C. Murray) – was unable to be fully tested over the final stages of the event when NEVER SURRENDER shifted out into its running line.

NEVER SURRENDER (J. Holder) – shifted out and away from LA CASONA over the concluding stages into the running line of DOLCEMENTE.

DESERT DANCING (D. Tourneur) – shifted out on jumping away onto TESTA DEXTA. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ROMANOVA (M. Collett) – near the 300m laid in and became awkward on the heels of NEVER SURRENDER for a short distance. Rider reported that the mare commenced to give ground earlier than she had anticipated. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

TESTA DEXTA (J. Doyle) – inconvenienced on jumping away.

JACKS ON ICE (T. Johnstone) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

ALL BEANS (M. Collett) – made the turn near the 900m awkwardly and shifted wider on the track. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

LUMBER PUNK (S. Payne) – inside the 300m shifted in resulting in DOTHRAKI (NZ) having to avoid its heels. Rider was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

AVIATRESS (J. Toeroek) – raced keenly in the early stages of the event whilst being restrained.

DOTHRAKI (NZ) (C. Murray) – slow to begin. Inside the 300m had to alter course to avoid the heels of LUMBER PUNK, which shifted in.

BRAVE STAR (NZ) (L. Neindorf) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

KODIAK (D. Keane) – rider explained that the gelding travelled well in the early stages of the event; however, was under pressure from near the 800m and did not finish the race off. She added that KODIAK made excess respiratory noise on pulling up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have atrial fibrillation (1^st occurrence). Co-trainers, Messrs A. and S. Freedman, were advised that he was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the gelding to be reinstated to race.

KOMACHI (IRE) (M. Collett) – jumped away awkwardly. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages of the event.

CLASSY KENNY (S. Fawke) – had difficulty obtaining clear ground early in the straight.
