SUTHERLAND (H. Grace) – rider could offer no explanation for the mare’s disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

UKI RAIN (B. King) – near the 100m momentarily raced in restricted room to the inside of SUTHERLAND, which rolled in marginally and behind THE KILL CLUB.

AMBUSHED (J. Potter) - slow to begin. Approaching the winning post altered course when the filly became awkwardly placed on the heels of SUTHERLAND, which was weakening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ROCKIN' DEE FOX (C. Murray) – near the 1200m shifted in onto THE LAST FLASH, which was taken in onto INTRUSIVE, which had to be steadied. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and was advised that he must be sufficiently clear prior to shifting ground, in future.

COLD TRAIN (J. Opperman) - slow to begin.

PRINCESS L'AMOUR (NZ) (T. Madden) – raced greenly in the straight.

ALITTLEBITAPOLLY (K. Walters) - jumped away awkwardly and as a result was slow to begin.

DUNLEER LAD (J. Weatherley) – hampered on jumping away by INTRUSIVE, which shifted in.

FRONTAL ATTACK (D. Caboche) – laid out in the straight. Near the 200m when laying out, shifted out and inconvenienced THE LAST FLASH. Rider was reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised to make a greater effort to keep his mounts straight, in future.

THE LAST FLASH (T. Johnstone) – near the 1200m was taken in onto INTRUSIVE by ROCKIN' DEE FOX, which shifted in. Near the 200m was inconvenienced when tightened onto HIGHLAND BEAUTY by FRONTAL ATTACK, which shifted out.

INTRUSIVE (M. Collett) – jumped away awkwardly, shifted in onto DUNLEER LAD. Near the 1200m was steadied when tightened by THE LAST FLASH. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

LOVE THE ACTION (J. Opperman) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

FIRST RETURN (K. Walters) – laid in, in the straight.

FREE BEER (M. Collett) - jumped away awkwardly and shifted out. Rider reported that the gelding raced greenly in the straight.

INTERFERING (C. Tootell) - jumped away awkwardly.

MISO (C. Murray) - jumped away awkwardly.

JUST LIKE LISA (M. Collett) – raced fiercely in the early stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

ZION (NZ) (J. Eaton) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival on course as it raced on Wednesday, 18 September 2024 and was deemed suitable to race.

COEUR DE LYON (H. Grace) - jumped away awkwardly and bumped with LAST DREAM (NZ). Held up for clear running from near the 250m until near the 150m.

LAST DREAM (NZ) (K. Walters) – on jumping away bumped with COEUR DE LYON, which shifted out.

SENOR UNO (NZ) (C. Murray) – rider explained that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages; however, failed to respond to his riding from the 800m and for that reason he did not ride SENOR UNO (NZ) in his usual manner for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

EAGLELOU (J. Potter) – a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

KING OF AVALON (NZ) (D. Tourneur) – raced keenly in the early stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

FAST ‘N’ FORWARD (K. Walters) – rider accidentally dropped her whip near the 100m.

WARRANDYTE ROAD (T. Voorham) – rider reported that the gelding hung out throughout the event.

DELCOFF (H. Grace) - slow to begin.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes.

RIVIVY KENZ (J. Potter) - jumped away awkwardly.

LITTLE SUNSET (J. Eaton) - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers, which revealed the mare to be lame in both forelegs (1/5) and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice LITTLE SUNSET was declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 4.44pm. Trainer, Mr P. McKenna was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

OAMARU POPPY (C. Tootell) - jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported that, in her opinion, the mare did not handle the step up in distance.

TRAK CHILLER (A. Livesey) – rider reported that, in her opinion, the mare was not suited to the heavy track conditions.

UNLIMITED ABILITY (K. Walters) – rider could offer no explanation for the gelding’s disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg (1/5). Trainer, Mr W. Walters was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

LADY TUCAN (P. Brewster) – rider reported that, in her opinion, the mare was not suited to the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.
