FINE FUTURE (JPN) (L. Hewitson) – jumped away awkwardly and shifted out. Held up for clear running from approaching the 400m until inside the 300m.

SWITCH HIT (J. Opperman) – raced wide without cover from the 800m. Passing the 200m was contacted by GUMERACHA CRACKER, which shifted out to improve.

THE GOLDEN FIST (J. Toeroek) – raced keenly in the middle stages of the event.

THINKINGNINTYNINE (T. Voorham) – slow to begin. Near the 900m was obliged to be steadied and lost its position when racing in restricted room between THE LAST FLASH and ZOUNORMOUS, which shifted in and away from SWITCH HIT despite the efforts of its rider. Rider report that after being slow to begin the gelding settled further back than intended.

ARTISTIC GAL (H. Yuen) – raced wide without cover from approaching the 1000m.

ESTICON (A. Livesey) – change of tactics – attempt to settle further back – settled at the rear. Shortly after jumping away was restrained and shifted in to obtain cover. Raced fiercely during the event. Inside the 1000m, when over-racing, became awkward on the heels of SWITCH HIT and lost ground.

GUMERACHA CRACKER (J. Holder) – held up for clear running from near the 400m until inside the 200m. Passing the 200m shifted out to improve and in doing so made contact with SWITCH HIT.

IDRACOWRA (C. Murray) – jumped away awkwardly.

ZOUNORMOUS (D. Tourneur) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.

SANPAGO (F. Atkinson) – dislodged its rider behind the barriers. F. Atkinson was examined by the First Care Medical personnel and passed fit to fulfil her engagements. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Rider reported that the gelding raced greenly for the majority of the event and laid out rounding the home turn.

ZESTIMAN (T. Pannell) – performed below market expectations. Rider could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

I LOVERAIN (J. Toeroek) – rider reported that the gelding did not feel comfortable in its action in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

QUEENOFTHEAIR (B. Price) – jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and bumped MONDELLO. Raced keenly in the early stages of the event. Rider reported that the filly raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

MONDELLO (T. Johnstone) – on jumping away bumped with QUEENOFTHEAIR.

TINY BAY (F. Atkinson) – shortly after the start was restrained and shifted in to obtain cover. Held up for clear running from inside the 400m until approaching the 200m when racing between ZESTIMAN and I LOVERAIN, and shifted out to obtain clear running.

PEACEMAKER (F. Atkinson) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Raced wide without cover throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrhythmia (first occurrence). Trainer, Mr. C. Bieg, was advised that he was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the gelding to be reinstated to race.

FRANCE'S BOY (M. Collett) – rider had her whip accidentally struck out of her hand near the 200m by J. Opperman.

RESERVOIR DOG (J. Opperman) – rider accidentally struck the whip of M. Collett out of her hand near the 200m.

STRATUM PRIDE (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Held up from the 400m until the 200m when racing between FRANCE’S BOY and RESERVOIR DOG, and shifted out to obtain clear running. Held up again for a number of strides passing the 100m between RESERVOIR DOG and SILENT DON.

LAKE'S FOLLY (T. Bull) – laid out over the concluding stages of the event.

MONTEPULCIANO (K. Crowther) – shortly after the start shifted in to obtain cover.

KHOR (NZ) (J. Toeroek) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Inclined to lay out under pressure in the straight. Rider could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

EXALTED RUTH (L. Hewitson) – inclined to lay out under pressure in the straight.

THE DEVIL IN HER (A. Kelly) – inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. Rider explained that in her opinion the mare may be better suited to softer track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

FLYWAY (D. Tourneur) – Stewards questioned D. Tourneur in relation to his riding of the gelding to the finish. He explained that the gelding made excess respiratory noise during the event and on pulling up. Stewards noted his explanation however reprimanded him under AR131(b) in failing to ride his mount out to the finish of the event. He was further advised of his obligations under AR114(2)(a) to notify the Stewards as soon as practicable of anything that may have affected his mounts in running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

The start of this event was delayed approximately one minute owing to a delay with an interstate event.

LOTTAROC (NZ) (J. Eaton) – raced keenly in the middle stages of the event.

EUREKA'S VICTORY (C. Murray) – rider accidentally dropped his whip near the 100m.

PRIVILEGED SON (NZ) (S. Payne) – bumped at the start with D’ISLES. Hung in under pressure in the straight.

CHOSEN MISS (R. Milnes) – rider reported that when placed under pressure rounding the home turn the mare did not respond to her riding; however, she continued to ride the mare vigorously and near the 200m CHOSEN MISS began to travel and finished the race off fairly. She added that in her opinion the mare may be feeling the effects of recent racing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SET TO PROPHET (T. Johnstone) – jumped away awkwardly.

D'ISLES (S. Logan) – jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and bumped PRIVILEGED SON (NZ).

TAMETOMO (NZ) (T. Voorham) – following the declaration of acceptances co-trainer, Mrs N. Searle, made a gear application to remove blinkers and add visors to the gelding’s race gear. Stewards acceded to this request. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as it had raced at Balaklava on Wednesday, 21 August 2024 and was deemed suitable to start.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately two minutes.

BURNING THE CLOCK (J. Opperman) – held up from the entrance to the straight until the 300m. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

PUTANOTHERCOININ (D. Caboche) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was deemed suitable to start. Rider explained that in his opinion the gelding is better suited in races over shorter distances than today’s event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

OUTPOST (T. Bull) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

SUNDAY FUN DAY (T. Pannell) – jumped away awkwardly. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

WATCHME WIN (T. Johnstone) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

WHENTHEDEELINGSDUN (A. Lindsay) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

PRICILLA'S CHOICE (H. Yuen) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SHARENDIPITY (L. Neindorf) – underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was found to be lame in the near foreleg (4/5) and therefore was deemed to be unfit to race. Acting on this advice Stewards declared SHARENDIPITY a late scratching at 1.40pm. Trainer, Mr C. Reardon, was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race start.

TWO KAY KLICK (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

COMMANDER MEROO (J. Toeroek) – slow to begin. Held up for clear running from the 400m until approaching the 200m.
