KEMI (M. Collett) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrhythmia (1st occurrence). Trainer, Mr B. Richard was advised that he was required to comply with the Racing Australia Code of Practice in order for the gelding to be reinstated to race.

MCLEOD (J. Holder) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

STARTS NOW (J. Toeroek) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

FIANO NOW (NZ) (T. Hutchinson) – laid in under pressure in the straight.

SHIFFANY (J. Maund) - slow to begin.

BROWN NOSE DAY LAD (D. Tourneur) – inclined to shift about and raced greenly under pressure in the straight.

CABALLO LOCO (S. Logan) – sprung its near hind plate en route to course. As the gelding was unable to be re-plated, permission was granted for the off hind plate to be removed. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race. As a result, permission was granted for CABALLO LOCO to race bare behind. Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

MORRIS MINOR (L. Neindorf) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

SAINT MICHAEL (M. Collett) - jumped away awkwardly. Laid in under pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

VALIEVA (T. Pannell) - jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.

GREAT CITY (S. Payne) - jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported that it was not his intention to lead in the event; however, due to the formation of the field he allowed the gelding to stride forward and obtain that position.

MIKKI TANGO (A. Livesey) – raced greenly and hung in under pressure in the straight.

PRIDE OF SHALAA (J. Holder) – slow to begin.

SIX STARS (J. Toeroek) – lost its near hind plate during the event. Near the 400m was disappointed when attempting a tight run between GREAT CITY, which rolled out slightly and MIKKI TANGO, which rolled in slightly and was obliged to steady and alter course to obtain clear ground.

STACK OUR REWARD (J. Eaton) – near the 700m was forced to steady and lost its position when DARK HELMET (NZ) was taken in by SHAMPAS, which shifted in and away from TARA RANI. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg (2/5). Trainer, Mr B. Cozamanis was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

DARK HELMET (NZ) (K. Crowther) – near the 900m was inconvenienced when taken in onto STACK OUR REWARD by SHAMPAS. Shortly after was further inconvenienced when taken in again onto STACK OUR REWARD by SHAMPAS. Near the 700m was taken in into the running line of STACK OUR REWARD by SHAMPAS, which shifted in and away from TARA RANI.

NICISH (L. Neindorf) – near the 900m shifted in and contacted SHAMPAS, taking that runner in, prior to being corrected. Near the 800m shifted in again and inconvenienced SHAMPAS, which was taken in onto DARK HELMET (NZ), which was inconvenienced when tightened onto STACK OUR REWARD. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to ensure he was sufficiently clear of runners prior to shifting ground.

SHAMPAS (S. Metcalfe) – near the 900m was inconvenienced when contacted by NICISH and was taken in. Near the 800m was further inconvenienced when NICISH shifted in and as a result the filly tightened DARK HELMET (NZ). Near the 700m shifted in and away from TARA RANI onto DARK HELMET (NZ).

TARA RANI (E. Finnegan) – near the 700m shifted in towards SHAMPAS, which shifted in and away.

THINK TANK (T. Pannell) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

SWANKYTOFF (S. Fawke) – reared on jumping away and was slow into stride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

RED SEQUOIA (D. Tourneur) – held up from near the 600m until approaching the 400m.

SESAR (B. Price) – held up from near the 400m until near the 300m. Laid out rounding the home turn and under pressure in the straight.

ZOFFANY ROCKET (S. Logan) – rider explained that the gelding never travelled, did not respond when placed under pressure and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

D'ISLES (Z. Lloyd) – raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

BUGATTI GOLD (H. Yuen) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

The start of this event was delayed approximately six minutes to avoid a clash with a number of interstate events which were running behind schedule.

CAPRICORN RIDGE (M. Collett) – rider explained that the gelding never travelled during the event and did not respond when placed under pressure.

ESKY (NZ) (C. Tootell) - slow to begin.

PANDARUS (H. Yuen) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

RUN AND TELL (L. Neindorf) – laid out under pressure in the straight. Near the 200m shifted out into the running line of INAGURATE, which was forced to be steadied and alter course. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to make a greater effort to straighten his mounts when they commence to shift ground.

STAYING STRONG (D. Caboche) - a post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

WEEKEND WARRIOR (Z. Lloyd) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

INAGURATE (D. Tourneur) – near the 200m had to be momentarily steadied and was forced to alter course when RUN AND TELL shifted out.

The start of this event was delayed approximately three minutes to avoid a clash with an interstate event.

FOURTH POWER (T. Hutchinson) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Raced wide without cover throughout the event.

FLYING ASSASSIN (C. Tootell) - slow to begin. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the straight. Near the 150m accidently had her whipped knocked from her hand by the whip of T. Pannell.

FAMOUS KNIGHT (H. Yuen) - jumped away awkwardly.

REDWINELOVER (Z. Lloyd) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

UNTOUCHABLE ED (NZ) (W. Cave) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

LAST WAR (D. Tourneur) – laid out under pressure in the straight.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes.

IMPORTANT PRODUCT (S. Cahill) - Change of tactics - attempt to gain cover in the event if possible. Settled midfield with cover. Rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages; however, when placed under pressure had only responded for a short distance and then was one pace to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

TAN TAT BEAU (C. Tootell) – inconvenienced shortly after the start when taken in by OBELOS (GB), which shifted in and away from CHEF DE MISSION.

SPITFIRE SUN (F. Atkinson) - jumped away awkwardly.

THEBIGSOSSO (L. Neindorf) – shifted in on jumping away onto CHEF DE MISSION. Near the 700m was inconvenienced when contacted by SPELMAN. Rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early stages; however, after being contacted near the 700m dropped the bridle and then felt uncomfortable in its action in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

MORTGAGE MAN (J. Holder) – rider reported that the gelding was reluctant to stretch out in the early stages of the event and, in his opinion, was not comfortable in the going. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

LITTLE RICH BOY (J. Eaton) – laid out rounding the home turn and under pressure in the straight.

CHEF DE MISSION (T. Hutchinson) – inconvenienced on jumping away when tightened onto OBELOS (GB) by THEBIGSOSSO.

SPELMAN (A. Livesey) – laid out from near the 900m until the entrance to the straight. Near the 700m shifted out and contacted THEBIGSOSSO.

CROWN MOSHE (J. Doyle) - fractious in its barrier after being loaded and reared over. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed unsuitable to race. Acting on this advice CROWN MOSHE was declared a late scratching by order of Stewards at 4.13pm. Co-trainer, Mr J. Hickmott was advised that the mare was now required to prove tractable in the barriers in an Official Barrier Trial or Approval to Race jump-out prior to a future race and that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.
