Young stated that SANTELMO FUEGO proved very disappointing at it’s last start at Gawler on 6 July 2024 and he could only attribute it to the track condition on that day. He added that he has not changed any feed or work with the gelding and was hoping for an improved performance. BRUNO STARS (NZ) (K. Crowther) – raced keen in the middle stages of the event. Near the 900m had to be steadied off heels. FIFTH HUSBAND (NZ) (K. Walters) - slow to begin. SEA OF SECRETS (S. Logan) – near the 700m shifted in and tightened MAFIORE. Potter) – when questioned in relation to the tactics adopted in today’s event, rider explained that his tactics were similar to its previous starts and that he was advised to be aggressive out of the gate. He added that as a result of the lack of speed in today’s event, he found himself further forward than at its previous start. ABAN (NZ) (C. Munro) - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as it raced in the last seven days and was deemed suitable to race. TRANSZAM (S. Fawke) - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination as it raced in the last seven days and was deemed suitable to race. Momentarily held up near the 600m and shifted wider to improve. MAFIORE (S.
