The start of this event was delayed approximately three minutes to avoid a clash with an interstate event. Brawl (H. Grace) – when questioned in relation to the gelding’s performance, rider explained that he was not comfortable with BRAWL’s action and as such did not ride his mount out in his usual manner. Fast 'n' Forward (T. Voorham) – shifted out rounding the turn near the 500m when held up behind IMPOSING SUSPECT (NZ). Near the 200m became awkwardly placed on the heels of BRAWL and had to be steadied. Imposing Suspect (NZ) (M.
