The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes.

IN THAT MODE (T. Pannell) – inconvenienced on jumping away when contacted and taken in by STOLEN. Rider reported that the gelding was not comfortable in the early and middle stages when racing in restricted room between other runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near fore wound over its lateral distal cannon. First aid administered. Co-trainers, Mr W. Clarken & Ms N. O’Shea were advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

DIVINO CAVALLO (J. Eaton) – shifted out on jumping away and contacted CAPE SIZE.

OOCHIE MAGUCCHEE (J. Toeroek) - jumped away awkwardly and shifted in onto STOLEN. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Lost its near hind plate during the event.

PENNY BANG BANG (S. Metcalfe) - jumped away awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid out under pressure in the straight.

PRESS EXPRESS (M. Collett) – kicked by STOLEN behind the barriers. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was deemed suitable to race.

RICH LADY (B. Price) - slow to begin and shortly after was hampered when tightened between HURRY LOVE, which shifted out and IN THAT MODE, which was taken in.

STOLEN (M. Nunes) – fractious and intractable behind the barriers and kicked out on a number of occasions. Trainer, Mr M. Hickmott was advised that a warning had been placed on the filly in relation to its pre-race behaviour. Inconvenienced on jumping away when contacted and taken in by OOCHIE MAGUCCHEE. Hung in, in the straight.

VELVET GEM (T. Childs) – raced wide without cover throughout the event.

BIT OF A REBEL (T. Johnstone) – approaching the 200m shifted in into the running line of SHEARMAN DYER, which was forced to steady and alter course. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to ensure she stops riding and straightens her mounts sooner than she did on this occasion.

VEE ROD (NZ) (B. Price) – slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SHEARMAN DYER (J. Holder) – approaching the 200m had to be steadied and alter course when BIT OF A REBEL shifted in.

SALUTE THE STARS (M. Collett) – in the early stages raced in restricted room for a number of strides to the inside of BLAZING REBEL and then after gaining cover behind that gelding, raced keenly until the middle stages of the event.

GRAND IMPACT (NZ) (M. Nunes) – rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages; however, failed to let down when asked for an effort and was disappointing to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

GRINZINGER PRINCE (E. Finnegan) – held up from the entrance to the straight until near the 300m.

STRUCK BY (R. Milnes) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages whilst being restrained.

OVERSTRIKE (F. Atkinson) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

BOONDOCKS (J. Toeroek) – jumped away awkwardly. Rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages; however, when asked for an effort at the top of the straight was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

CAPULET (M. Nunes) – rider accidentally dropped his whip near the 200m.

PRETENTIOUS LASS (R. Milnes) - slow to begin.

ALLEGEDLY (FR) (M. Collett) – rider reported that the gelding travelled fairly in the early and middle stages; however, when asked for an effort did not respond to her riding and, in her opinion, felt uncomfortable in its action, in particular, behind. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg (3/5). Trainer, Mr E. Hubbard was advised that a Veterinary Clearance would be required prior to a future jump-out, trial or race.

LAVISH THINKER (L. Neindorf) - lost its near hind plate during the event.

RABTAT (T. Pannell) – near the 450m became awkwardly placed on the heels of SHARMA PRINCESS (NZ), which had commenced to give ground and shift about. Shortly after shifted in slightly onto EXOPIPI, which was taken in. Rider was severely reprimanded under AR131(a) and advised, in future, to ensure he is sufficiently clear prior to shifting ground and to not pass his predicament on to other riders.

THEODOR (D. Tourneur) – near the 450m had to be checked and lost its position when EXOPIPI was taken in.

FIZIQUE (J. Toeroek) – rider reported that it was not his intention to lead the event, however, after being caught wide without cover and with the slow tempo of the race, he elected to use his initiative and take a position further forward.

EXOPIPI (R. Milnes) – near the 450m was inconvenienced when taken in across the running line THEODOR by RABTAT. Held up from approaching the 200m until near the 50m.

SHARMA PRINCESS (NZ) (T. Childs) - jumped away awkwardly and shifted out onto STAYING STRONG. Near the 450m commenced to give ground and shift about and shortly after rolled in slightly onto RABTAT.

STAYING STRONG (D. Caboche) – inconvenienced when contacted on jumping away.

Correct weight was delayed to allow rider, R. Milnes (EXOPIPI), placed third and Trainer, Mr J. Stephens to view the vision in the straight.

EVEN SHARPER (J. Holder) – near the 1500m had to take hold when SUNDOGG shifted out abruptly and then raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Held up from near the 500m until the entrance to the straight.

ENCIPHERING (S. Payne) - rider was reminded of his obligations under AR131(b) to ensure she rides his mounts out fully to the end of the race.

MASTER OF ZERPRISE (M. Collett) - slow to begin.

ZARKANA (J. Toeroek) – had difficulty obtaining clear ground near the entrance to the straight. Inside the 300m became momentarily held up for a short distance before obtaining clear ground near the 200m.

HAVADUEL (NZ) (J. Doyle) – raced wide without cover throughout the event. Rider reported that the gelding may not be suited to today’s track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

SUNDOGG (T. Johnstone) – near the 1500m shifted out abruptly into the running line of EVEN SHARPER. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

CORK HARBOUR (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.

HALLSTATT (T. Pannell) - slow to begin.

GILMORE (E. Finnegan) – shifted in on jumping away onto NOSIE BY NATURE. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event. Rider reported that it was not her intention to lead in today’s event; however, after jumping away well the mare improved on its own accord to obtain this position. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities.

NOSIE BY NATURE (T. Johnstone) – inconvenienced on jumping away when contacted by GILMORE. Laid in throughout the event. Near the 700m shifted in and away from THE STALKER onto PURE BLISS.

PURE BLISS (K. Crowther) - jumped away awkwardly. Momentarily inconvenienced near the 700m when NOSIE BY NATURE shifted in. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

TRES BELLE (A. Livesey) – raced keenly in the early and middle stages of the event.
