Michael Hickmott Is Heating Up
It was a successful Cup week for the leading Murray Bridge trainer, Fancify winning impressively on Cup day before Swycho finished third and recent stable acquisition Motorace wasn’t beaten far over the 2000m trip on Oaks Day.
Michael Hickmott’s Rabtat will try and make up for missing a start at Flemington on Oaks Day when he returns to Morphettville on Saturday.
Rabtat was the third emergency in a 2000m race on Thursday but Hickmott was left with the only option but to come home and tackle the opening race at Morphettville over 1950m.

He’s confident that run will continue at Morphettville with promising mare Spirit Of Camelot.
“She’ll win,’’ Hickmott said on Racing SA’s Front Runner Podcast.
“If I had of had it my way she wouldn’t have run first-up when the track was upgraded. That run will bring her on and she’ll map really well from there.
“She’d only have to replicate her gallop with Fancify from two gallops ago to say she’d be winning this race,’’ he said.
