Rail position and why:

Back to true position after last week’s meeting, where rail was out. Moving back to fresh ground after some remedial works on the inside 9mts.

How it played last time:

4 x winners led/on pace, 4 x winners settled midfield and 1 x winner settled towards the rear.

Verdict:

Track currently rated a Good 4 and with a hot day and little to no rain forecast until Saturday evening, we would expect this track to rate in the Good 4 range tomorrow, with a chance of an upgrade to a Good 3. A good cover of grass exists from the inside position, with wear out past the 9mt position, due to recent racing. This should not come into play, especially with smaller fields early where leaders may be favoured closer to the rail. Horses may use most of the straight to make runs, particularly late in the day, with bigger fields and more genuine pace. The track raced fairly overall last week, with winners spread between on pace, midfield and backmarker positions.
