Murray Bridge horseman Justin Pickering is confident talented mare Jilladora can make a successful jump in trip to the 1550m journey at Morphettville on the Parks this weekend.

The five-year-old produced a brilliant turn of speed to round rivals up over 1400m there a fortnight ago and Pickering said he could see no reason why she can’t continue to progress in the right direction.

“She’s has come through that win really well,’’ Pickering, who is coming off a career-best season having produced 24 winners from just 107 runners, said.

“She’s got a real turn of foot and to see her relax and do that was excellent.

“Hopefully she can reproduce that up in trip,’’ he said.

Pickering also has All Beans stepping out early in the day, a horse with a contrasting racing pattern, coming off a solid effort when narrowly beaten by Victorian Struck Gold after leading on the Parks last time out.

“He’s super honest,’’ Pickering said.

“You always know what you get with him and I’m sure he’ll run another good race on the weekend,’’ he said.

The stable will be on the road Sunday taking three horses to Mount Gambier.

Pickering’s partner Maggie Collett will partner Free Beer and Just Like Lisa with fellow apprentice Brooke King claiming three kilograms aboard The Art Of Flying who was beaten 1.77 lengths behind Lunar Solar at his second start for the stable at Naracoorte last time.

“He showed some good improvement the other day,’’ Pickering said.

“There are a couple of country Cups over the border I’d like to have a crack at with him,’’ he said.
