How to Report a Welfare Concern

24-hour support and urgent matters regarding animal welfare can be reported to the RSPCA South Australia Office on 1300 477 722, or alternatively visit rspcasa.org.au to view other options

When a horse is injured, sick or neglected and requires attention, but it is NOT an emergency, please complete the RSPCA’s Animal Welfare Complaint Form https://www.rspcasa.org.au/services/inspectorate/report-cruelty/

If you cannot reach TCSA, or the RSPCA and the animal welfare matter is urgent, you can also phone your states Police service.

Always phone the police if there has been a road accident involving horses.

Becoming familiar with welfare standards is essential. Racing SA encourages all participants to continue to increase best welfare practices by reviewing and assessing the state of their horses to create a positive welfare experience and outcome.
