What Is the Thorough Care SA Assistance Pack

The Thorough Care SA Assistance Pack, has been developed to assist thoroughbreds who have recently retired from racing to help them adapt to their new lives and careers.

Through education and assistance, we are able to ensure thoroughbreds find suitable homes for their lives post racing. Services and products provided in conjunction with our partners at Hygain, PETStock, HorseRecords, Bonnetts Saddlery, Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital, and HorseMed SA are available to give retired thoroughbreds the best chance to flourish in their new homes.

The Thorough Care SA Assistance Package is constantly evolving and growing, and is currently made up of 6 components. The package is offered to thoroughbreds that apply within 3 months of retirement, were domiciled or had an active stable return in South Australia prior to retirement or raced in South Australia for the majority of its career - Terms and Condition apply.

Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital is offering: Access to selected services and procedures at a 20% discounted cost for the first year since retiring from racing.

The selected service and procedures available are:

• Full general health check and orthopaedic assessment
• Faecal egg count to assess worm burden
• Dentals (including sedation)
• Vaccination (2 in 1)
• Sand radiographs (size dependant)
