Hong Kong Apprentice Matthew Poon was crowned Dux of the UBET Apprentice Academy at the 2016 Apprentice Academy Awards night at Morphettville Racecourse.
Matthew had an amazing first year in the saddle with 44 winners including seven in the city.
The special guest for the evening was Luke Nolen, who is famous for steering Black Caviar to 22 of her 25 victories. Luke spoke about how much hard work and dedication is needed to succeed in the racing game and was a great guest of honour.
