A double from Clare Lindop on Saturday has put her within three wins of Jamie Kah in this year's SA Metropolitan Jockey Premiership. Kah and Lindop have broken away from the pack and look set to fight out the race for the title with eight weeks to go in the season.
Clare Lindop saluted in the first race of the day on the $2.40 favourite, Red Raider for Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas but Jamie Kah hit back in Race 3 on Alta Stella for Nick Smart. Lindop bought up her double with Beluga Blue, again for Macdonald & Gluyas which brought up their 40th winner for the season and gives them a five-win lead over Phillip Stokes in the Metropolitan Trainer's Premiership.
Irish Apprentice Emily Finnegan remains in third spot on the table with 31 wins after electing to ride three South Australian horses across the border on Saturday at Moonee Valley.
Damien Thornton continued his run of good form, also bringing up a double on Saturday. He sits in fifth spot on the table and has been the most in-form jockey of late, registering 12 metropolitan winners since the start of April; three more than Kah and Lindop who have ridden nine over the same period.
