Kah Set to Star at the Flemington Carnival

The in-form Jamie Kah is set to be a feature of this year’s Flemington Carnival and kicks off Cup week with three rides on Derby Day.

Kah will ride Paseeto in the Group 3 Carbine Clubs Stakes and Concealer in the Group 3 Skip Sprint for Tony McEvoy and Lope De Capio in the Group 2 TAB Multiplier Stakes for Wayne Francis and Glen Kent.

Kah is undefeated aboard the McEvoy colt Paseeto who she has ridden twice since he’s returned from a spell at the start of October. It will be her first time aboard the mare Concealer who ran sixth behind Fuhryk in the Listed Alinghi Stakes on Caulfield Cup Day.

The Wayne Francis and Glen Kent trained Lope De Capio has been in career best form taking out the Listed Wylie and Durbridge Stakes in his past two starts. Kah has an outstanding record aboard the gelding with five wins and five seconds from thirteen starts.

Kah has been in sensational form this season riding 36 winners already which has her sitting in sixth position in the Australian Jockey Premiership.

Trainer Tony McEvoy will also saddle up Bring Me Roses in the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes, Cool Passion in the Group 1 Myer Classic and Rockarral in the Group 1 Victorian Derby.

Other South Australian chances on the day will be led by the Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas stable who have Danger Deal in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes and Glam Guru in the Group 2 Wakeful Stakes. Both horses will be ridden by leading Brisbane jockey Jeff Lloyd.

Shayne Cahill’s Desert Lashes makes her return to Melbourne where she last finished fifth in the Group 3 Northwood Plume at Caulfield behind Cool Passion. The mare will line up in the Group 3 Skip Sprint with Craig Williams in the saddle.
