Vega Magic vs Viddora in the Goodwood?

The West Australian’s Ernie Manning has reported that last year’s Darley Goodwood winner Vega Magic is set to return to Adelaide to defend his title on the last day of the UBET Adelaide Festival of Racing.

The David & Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig trained speedster will be looking to go back to back in the $1 million feature and achieve a feat no horse has managed since Musket Belle back in 1911 and 1912.

Meanwhile Adelaide’s own Viddora is tipped to tackle both the Group 1 UBET Classic and Goodwood after her Magic Millions Snippets win last weekend on the Gold Coast. The Lloyd Kennewell trained mare will be looking to add some more Group 1 wins to her name after claiming the Winterbottom Stakes in December.

Viddora finished second in the UBET Classic last year behind Secret Agenda but has been in fantastic form since the Melbourne Spring Carnival and will be a big chance to claim a hometown Group 1 in May.
