Finnegan to Make Singapore Debut

2018 Dux of the Apprentice Academy, Emily Finnegan will make her Singapore riding debut today at Kranji Racecourse.

Finnegan will begin her three week riding stint today and is licensed to ride in Singapore until 1 July.

The trip is part of the prize for winning the Dux of the SA Apprentice Academy last season and during her time in Singapore she will be under the guidance of trainer Shane Baertschiger.

Hopefully Finnegan’s first ride in Singapore will be in Race 4 on the second starter Ace’s Wild for Shane Baertschiger. At the moment the two-year-old is first emergency in the race but one scratching in the field will see her gain a start.

Finnegan will then ride Leslie Choo’s Come and Take All in Race 5 before combining with Baertschiger again in Race 7 aboard Solaris Spectrum.

Finnegan will be competing against some of the world's best jockeys during her stay with riders like Vlad Duric, Michael Rodd and Glen Boss all currently plying their trade in Singapore.

The Kranji card kicks off at 2.50pm SA time.
