Lincoln Moore's Saturday Preview

BEST BET: TIBETAN (Race 8)

EACH-WAY: YULONG HERO (Race 1)

VALUE: SKILLED BUNCH (Race 5)

RACE 1 - 12:36PM Beston Pure Foods Maiden Plate (1000 METRES)

YULONG HERO looked good in first trial in SA when he wasn’t asked to do a lot behind Muffla before missing away last time and working home OK at Morphettville. ZAKHEERA didn’t do a lot at Balaklava back in April but has trialled nicely. He draws a wide gate but obviously has talent and the stable have a great record here. Ryan Balfour has a strong hand here. KUNGKA MARU trialled nicely before a game effort resuming when he narrowly missed behind Great Diviner. That form looks good for this and he’ll be right in the mix. Stablemate SCARLET RIVER has ability but was a touch disappointing last time behind Silver On Red while the third runner, A BIT RACEY, was good last time behind Great Diviner and must be respected with winkers on and a handy gate. STASIA had market support and wasn’t beaten far behind Great Diviner on debut. SELF SUFFICIENT showed ability last campaign and he looked to be getting back to form when running on smartly behind Great Diviner on the Parks track last time. DIVENIRE was well backed on debut behind Starspangled Saga but this does look a tougher assignment.

SELECTIONS: YULONG HERO, Zakheera, Kungka Maru

RACE 2 - 1:11PM Wicks Estate Wines Handicap (1400 METRES)

CROWN MINT is a talented type who was well backed first-up in an on-pace dominated race, beaten 4.2 lengths behind River Twain. He maps well from barrier five, getting out to 1400m looks ideal and he can bounce back to winning form here. ANOTHER AWARD hasn’t missed a place in three runs here and found the line well behind River Twain last time. He looks a big danger from a perfect gate. STRUCK BY is showing promise and was strong when holding off No Strings at Morphettville last but this does look a rise in class. BIARCHI is a nice filly who will no doubt need the run but she did jump out nicely for her return. She developed nicely in the spring and could be a factor in some nice 3YO fillies races over the carnival. ULTIMATE VICTORY stuck on well in the River Twain race after covering ground last time he’ll appreciate the extra trip and inside gate. POINT BLAZE is a nice filly who hasn’t done a lot wrong and she strips fitter for her first-up second behind Daily Spirit here and gets out in trip for the first time.

SELECTIONS: CROWN MINT, Another Award, Struck By

RACE 3 - 1:46PM Spry Civil Construction Handicap (1200 METRES)

SECOND SLIP is unbeaten in Australia and was well backed to win here first-up before going to Sandown where he was perfectly rated to score. He draws wide but look hard to beat here again and deserves to be favourite. ALSVIOR battled on OK first-up behind Ironclad, his second-up record is strong and he is a winner this track and trip. He maps well from barrier four. TEQUILA TIME was very good behind Mystyko here two runs back and then solid again when second behind Ididitforlove at Morphettville last time. OH MO ran well first-up behind Ididitforlove at Morphettville and his best is certainly good enough to measure-up here, despite having just two placings from five starts on his home track. AIGUILETTE has won two of three races first-up and he did beat last week’s impressive winner Larkham in a recent Morphettville trial. BLOW TORCH has a win and three placings from four starts here.

SELECTIONS: SECOND SLIP, Alsvior, Oh Mo

RACE 4 - 2:26PM Adelaide Event Catering Handicap (1200 METRES)

Exciting clash here between two pretty promising types in OUTLAWS REVENGE and GREAT DIVINER. OUTLAWS REVENGE has won two of three starts and was super here last time coming from off the speed to race past Struck By and won by 1.1 lengths. He draws perfectly and looks hard to beat again and has jumped out nicely since. GREAT DIVINER looked in all sorts of trouble on debut before unleashing a dazzling turn of foot to charge between horses and defeat Kungka Maru. His sectionals were very good and drawing out might be an advantage here, allowing him to unleash late. BOTTOM LINE has shown talent and was favourite last time behind Renegade. BRIBERY was OK last time behind River Twain. BARACONI can run into the multiples. IMPOSSIBLE ACTION will get a nice run from the inside gate, while SHOWUSYOURMOTOR jumps up sharply in class but looks to have some upside.

SELECTIONS: OUTLAWS REVENGE, Great Diviner, Bottom Line

RACE 5 - 3:06PM Total Workforce Solutions Handicap (1400 METRES)

Open race. SKY PUNCH was a Listed winner beating Morvada and Dalasan three starts back. He led when run down by Hankstar last time but did win his only start this track and trip, and all five wins have come at the 1400m. SKILLED BUNCH has a good record with two wins from three starts here and his fresh record is very good with a win and second from her two starts fresh. She draws a good gate and looks great each-way value. GIGGLON has been good winning his past couple and his overall record is solid for this. RENEGADE was too good for Dexter You Devil last time out at this track and trip. However, he’s drawn a sticky gate and looks short enough at the $3.10 quote in early markets. JESTER HALO ran well in the same race three starts back and wasn’t beaten far behind Hankstar at Gawler last time. LIVE AND FREE only battled on debut for the Stokes stable and draws out here but could be a quick improver.

SELECTIONS: SKY PUNCH, Skilled Bunch, Jester Halo

RACE 6 - 3:46PM Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic (Qualified Horses) (1200 METRES)

SCORCHED EARTH was game in defeat behind Arcaded in a Prelude of the Blue Diamond at Caulfield last time out. She draws perfectly in barrier four and looks hard to beat. METZARRO made ground from a long way back on debut at Sale behind Cadboll. This looks harder but she has an inside gate and Todd Pannell takes the ride. Lindsay Park saddles up two runners. BISCAYNE BAY was a $410k yearling and has had four jumps-out, working to the line strongly in the latest at Flemington. Stablemate LADY OF HONOUR was a $175k yearling and has also jumped out well, working to the line strongly in her last public appearance. The McEvoy stable saddles up SHE JUGGLES, who has two trials under her belt, and STAR OF CHAOS who was a $150k purchase and placed in a recent Morphettville trial. HANABI was well fancied first-up when run down late behind Knightstown and draws to be right in the mix here. MANHATTEN TIMES trialled OK but was only fair on debut.

SELECTIONS: SCORCHED EARTH, Lady Of Honour, Star Of Chaos

RACE 7 - 4:26PM The Ian Marwood Race (1200 METRES)

Wide open race. COTILLION is a winner here on her home track and was good beating Bubbles McGinty at Gawker last time. This is harder but she draws a nice gate with a claim. HE’S A BALTER was well backed at Pakenham last time out behind Moeen and the stable has a great record when it comes to Adelaide. DAWN SALUTE strips fitter here and looks an improver on his first-up effort behind Fabulous Flipper. ELOPE TO VEGAS is a former Victorian first-up for Richard and Chantelle Jolly, but draws right off the track. MORTY looked good winning in maiden class last time and is a horse with some upside. GLORY GAME has drifted sharply her past couple but must be respected. OUR SUSTAR is a stablemate of Cotillion who made ground when resuming and could be an improver.

SELECTIONS: COTILLION, He’s A Balter, Morty

RACE 8 - 5:01PM Riverscape Food & Wine Handicap (2500 METRES)

TIBETAN has been bursting to break through. He gets out to 2500m, wears a visor for the first time and will be ridden by Todd Pannell here. He also draws a gate and if he’s to push his way into an Adelaide Cup field will need to win give this a shake. RIDGEWOOD DRIVE is a dual winner over 2000m and maps well from barrier four with Jason Holder riding. FAIRLIGHT boxed on well behind The Red Sea in an oddly run race last time and is capable in this sort of class. OURKHANI is hit or miss, but could measure up here. GRINZINGER STAR hasn’t fired a shot in SA but looks capable of improvement here. VALAC draws a good gate and looks suited in this sort of race.

SELECTIONS: TIBETAN, Valac, Ridgewood Drive

RACE 9 - 5:40PM Racing Rewards SA Handicap (1800 METRES)

Good race and keen to stick with GOOD GIRL BELLA. This time in she has been outstanding. She maps well from barrier two with Jason Holder in the saddle and the $5.50 in early markets is appealing. BLACK SYRAH represents value. He ran super here behind Hankstar three starts back and hasn’t had a lot of luck since. He draws the middle but will get back and be storming home. Likewise PUISSANCE DUSOLEIL is over the odds. She thrived on a solid tempo to bounce back to winning form at Gawler last time. She’s a good mare who maps OK from barrier eight and should be in the finish. WORSFOLD was an easy Strathalbyn winner on debut before he was well backed behind Call Me Shamus here last week, eventually running third, beaten less than a length. He’ll get a good run here and has strong appeal. BUENA VELOZ is back in trip but has won seven races and gets Todd Pannell. KYSHAKA ran well behind Call Me Shamus last time. DYAGILEV draws out and has to carry plenty of weight, DR DEE DEE is helped with the claim and MOUNT MADEIRA is capable with the right run. SPLASH SOME CASH comes off a KI Cup win.

SELECTIONS: GOOD GIRL BELLA, Black Syrah, Puissance Dusoleil
